66 players from Arizona and Texas battled it out. 8 teams with 8-9 players each.
Each team played 5 games with a possible All-Star game. The All-Star games lived up to the hype with many coaches walking away impressed with what they saw. The younger talent was pretty obvious.
We take a look at each teams players.
Here was Team Arizona State:
Top-20 All-Star game
Styles Phipps Styles Phipps 6'1" | PG St Mary's | 2024 State #182 Nation AZ St. Mary’s
A super poised lead guard with an ultra tight handle. His feel is next level and his pull-up may be best one in 4A. He makes many subtle plays look easy and makes anyone better around him. His ability to change speeds, compete on defense and score it when needed made him the co-MVP of the camp.
Corey Wood Corey Wood 6'7" | SF ALA-Ironwood | 2023 State AZ ALA-Ironwood
A long and quickly growing forward who can get hot from the 3pt line. He is getting better at defending and passing to go along with his shooting. He will make the extra pass but can also drive and dump it off to a cutter or big. He also made some incredible blocks timing the ball off the glass.
KaShar Benton KaShar Benton 6'9" | C Skyline Prep | 2024 State AZ AZ Compass Prep (Pictured)
The rising junior is young and plays the game like an old school five-man. He uses drop steps and sheer strength to score around the basket. He is slowly adding counter moves to his game and rebounds with two hands. It is hard to move him and he moves defenders in the paint to score. He can block shots plus flush it down.
Top-40 All-Star game
Jordan Voorhees Jordan Voorhees 6'0" | PG SoAZ Volz | 2023 State AZ Pusch Ridge
A strong PG with good upper body strength. He probably gained 20 lbs of muscle recently and has a big motor to defend on the ball. He takes charges and he is a good passer. He has a shifty handle and he can pull-up from mid-range and make a catch-3.
McCoy Kelly McCoy Kelly 5'11" | CG American Leadership Academy-Queen Creek | 2022 State AZ ALA-QC
A scoring guard with an ultra quick release. He was awarded the fastest release at the camp. He is somewhat of a volume shooter but he goes on streaks and becomes a lights out 3pt catch shooter. He is a decent passer but definitely prefers to launch more shots.
Top-60 All-Star game
Elijah Taylor Elijah Taylor 6'4" | CG ALA-Ironwood | 2022 State AZ ALA-Ironwood
A combo guard with pretty good size. He likes getting downhill and moves smartly without the ball. He makes good passes and will make the extra pass. He uses his upper body strength to score around traffic. He plays hard on defense and was a team player.
Dwayne Jones Dwayne Jones 6'4" | SF Valley Vista | 2023 State AZ Valley Vista
A tough two-way player plays with a high motor. He is a stud on the glass gaining offensive rebounds and scoring on putbacks. He can pull-up from mid-range and he is a capable 3pt shooter. His natural energy will provide more opportunities for the Monsoon.
Terrell Doxie Terrell Doxie 6'0" | SG Cactus | 2023 State AZ Cactus
A relentless guard who plays hard. He recently got stronger and makes his life easier getting downhill. He can finish layups with his left or right hand and scores it efficiently inside. He has sneaky athleticism and uses it in transition play and to defend.
