However, that doesn’t mean that coverage stops here at Prep Hoops Indiana. Over the next couple of weeks we will take a closer look at prospects in the Class of 2022 with our Senior Spotlight series.
Branden Northern Branden Northern 5'11" | PG Silver Creek | 2022 State IN (Silver Creek 2022)
Northern is a skilled lead guard that kind of had an underrated grassroots season. However, the times that we at Prep Hoops saw him he looked about as good any of the top guards in the 2022 class. Real explosive off the dribble to where he can either finish at the rim or pull up for the 15fter that he makes pretty consistently. Right now his only offer that we know of is from Alabama A&M but I would expect more offers to come his way from mid-low majors and D2’s. Jumping ahead to the high school season, there has been a lot of talk about Silver Creek being down this year due to the key losses they had but in my opinion, I think this is the year that you see Branden Northern Branden Northern 5'11" | PG Silver Creek | 2022 State IN breakout and take it to a whole new level.
Nick Mikash Nick Mikash 6'4" | SF Kankakee Valley | 2022 State IN (Kankakee Valley 2022)
Mikash is a tough SF that is naturally quick and athletic. Defensively, he was one of the better defenders I saw all summer at his position because he just seemed laser focused on stealing the ball and turning his defense into offense. Even though there were times that there was not much going on with his offense, he did in fact shoot a pretty solid FG percentage of 55.4% going 97/175. Not hearing of any official offers for Mikash at the moment but last I had checked he was receiving interest from schools at the NAIA and D3 level. Mikash is a guy to watch for when high school ball rolls around.
Jackson Bobo Jackson Bobo 6'8" | PF Lawrenceburg | 2022 State IN (Lawrenceburg 2022)
Bobo is a tall, lengthy 4 that scores mostly around the basket but has the skill and ability to stretch the floor. One of the more notable things that impressed me with Bobo is how good of ball handler he is with his size and how crafty he can be at times. Needs to continue to get physically stronger even with that critique he still has excellent footwork that make him tough to stop in the interior. Had a couple coaches ask me about him during the summer so I know there is some interest there. Bobo just overall is a very intriguing prospect that is going to continue to improve his game all around.
