It’s also a place where those who have been flying under the radar find themselves flying either with the radar or above the radar. So much talent and stories all in one building. We are looking for a treat. Who will be one of the next top prospects? Who in the list of top prospects will widen their gap? The Joy of it all playing out at the Prep Hoops Expo 250. These are my players to watch.
2024 Jalen Rashad Robinson | PG | 1NE Percent | South Oak Cliff
Robinson is a small quick guard who will surprise everyone at the Prep Hoops Expo 250. He has a strong handle with a smooth quick release. His defensive prowess will separate him from the pack because he really gets after it on defense. He’s able to knock down the three along with an ability to distribute at a high level.
2024 Jakari Davis | G | LBK Elite | Shallowater High School
Davis plays with high confidence. His ability to get his shot off will be a thing to watch. He moves at his pace until he gets the shot that he likes. Good form and follow-through on his shot, Davis can put up points in bunches. On the defensive end he’s long and rangy. His athleticism will create a lot of deflections that will lead to steals and points for his team.
2024 Trey Jackson | C | 1NE Percent | South Oak Cliff
Jackson may steal the show for the big’s. He’s active, powerful and he runs the floor like a deer on both ends. It’s easy to get up and down the court on offense but big fella also makes sure he gets back on defense. Jackson doesn’t need the ball to impact the game. I see him getting a near double-double every contest in the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo. Jackson’s impact will not be denied.
2024 Cai Nix | F | Little Elm High
Grit, Grind, and Hard Work is what you will always get out of Nix no matter the circumstances. His activity all over the floor always generates to something good. Need a steal he will get it. Need a rebound he will get. Need a bucket he will get that as well. From the moment I first seen Nix he showed me that he takes his conditioning seriously. He plays every possession on both ends of the floor as if it’s his last. Nix has a high IQ and will do whatever it takes to will his team to victory.
2024 Kaden Jackson Kaden Jackson 6'0" | SG Bishop Dunne - Dallas | 2024 TX | PG | BBSS Grey | LD Bell
Jackson when left open can show off pure marksmanship. He has a nice high arching form, with a follow-through that looks picture perfect. Jackson will no doubt try to steal the show on the defensive end by trying to take on the assignment of the team’s best guard. Once he sees a couple shots go in, the basket can become an ocean for Jackson. On this stage, in this environment, I look to see Jackson perform one of his best shooting displays.
2025 Kash Polk Kash Polk 6'9" | PF Argyle | 2025 State #145 Nation TX | F | ProSkills-McQuaid | Liberty Christian
6’6 with the ability to shoot the ball with the best of them. Watching Polk a couple of times gave me Dirk vibes. Polk can flat out shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor. His 6’6 frame makes it difficult for his defenders to contest. Quick and efficient release I see Polk shooting the nets off. Keep your eyes on him. With the way he can shoot the ball we may forget about his other intangibles. He talks on the floor and is a great teammate. I look forward to seeing Polk’s output in the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo.
2024 Tristan Strength Tristan Strength 6'3" | CG Colleyville Heritage | 2024 State TX | G | Mudiay Elite | Colleyville Heritage
Another shooter has entered the building. Strength is another one of them must-see shooters. Textbook form from the catch to the release Strength is going to be one of those can’t leave open players as soon as he steps on the floor. You know you’re one of the best shooters in the gym when your teammates hold up the three sign before you even release the ball. What will make strength even more impressive is when he shows off his mid-range jump shot. Make sure you’re glued in. You just might miss something.
