We’ll start with junior Monarch guard and the article’s featured image, 2023 Kobe Parlin Kobe Parlin 6'1" | CG Mark Morris | 2023 State WA (6’1 CG, Mark Morris HS). Parlin was left off all-league teams last season but make no mistake, he is an all-league level talent. He had big games throughout the season and followed that up with a great summer of AAU playing up 17U. He’s built to be on that list this season. He is a shifty combo guard that can score from all three levels. He does a good job of stopping and changing directions which keeps defenders off balance. He’s been gaining traction on college radars, too. 2023 stock riser. The next player on the new addition list is 2022 Jamond Harris (5’8 PG, RA Long HS). Harris is a coach’s dream player. Although he was left off of all-league teams last season, he has the skill set to be on one after this season. There’s a reason he’s been a three-year varsity starter, soon to be four; Jamond just wants to win! He makes winning plays on both ends and stars in his role. Harris is a consistent spot-up threat from 3, he makes the right reads while taking care of the ball, and he defends. In fact, defense is where he shines. If 2A GSHL had an all-defensive team, Jamond would be there every year. The next player on the list happens to come from the Lumberjack squad too. 2023 Jaxson Cook (6’8 C, RA Long HS) played his first season with the Lumberjacks last year. With a year under his belt of learning the system and teammates, Cook is due for a breakout season. He’s sharpened his skills, increased his IQ, and improved his coordination. Combine that with his natural height and defensive instincts and get a potential all-league player. 2022 Mac Klodt (6’0 PG, Hockinson HS) is the next player on our new additions list. After missing the shortened season last year with an injury, Klodt will be looking to leave his mark on the league for his last hoorah. Mac is a true PG with exceptional court vision. He sees plays before they happen, and sees open teammates even when it seems like he’s not looking. He can score it, too. He is a crafty finisher at the rim and a streaky shooter from deep. If he can stay healthy, he is due for a big year. Rounding out our list last, but certainly not least, is the lone sophomore 2024 Braydon Olson (5’11 SG, Mark Morris HS). After a stellar freshman campaign filled with big games, Braydon topped it off with a great summer of AAU where he played up in 16U division. The sophomore guard is a natural-born scorer. He is good at creating shots for himself and can do it from all three levels. When he gets going, it is a long night for defenders. He has underrated vision too. Don’t be surprised if you see him on an all-league team after the season. Coaches get on this kid now; huge upside!.
