Melvin Teal Jr Melvin Teal Jr 6'3" | PG Summerville | 2025 State #301 Nation SC Jr – Summerville HS
Teal Jr was very impressive today with his play on the floor. Melvin just overpowers defenders to the rack and has the ability to finish on contact. Teal would excel in the transition game while showing good body control to the basket. Teal Jr played last season at the SCISA level at Colleton Prep Academy in Walterboro. Melvin will make the transition to Class 5A level basketball this season. That won’t be problem for Melvin at all.
Tahj Lathon Tahj Lathon 6'5" | SF Marion | 2025 State SC – Marion HS (pictured on front)
Lathon is a very versatile forward who really brought some good tools to the floor. Tahj has a good wingspan and length to play all over the floor at times. Lathon handled the rock some and rebounded the ball on both ends of the floor. Lathon is still a RAW talent with a bright future. Tahj is a quick leaper who can change a game on the defensive end of the floor at times.
Lathon should be able to a Swamp Foxes program this season with the graduation of several seniors from last years squad for Head Coach Andy Bostick.
Tristan Thompson Tristan Thompson 6'5" | SF Wilson | 2025 State #339 Nation SC – Trinity Collegiate (Darlington)
Thompson did all of his damage around the basket playing from 4 feet in. Tristan showed to have good hands and was able to finish when given the chance. Thompson keeps the ball up high after rebounding it while working for position in the paint.
Coyie Poole Coyie Poole 6'1" | CG Chesnee | 2025 State SC – Chesnee HS
Poole has the luxury to play with his older brother Brady on the Eagles roster. Coyie has the ability to knockdown shots on the perimeter. Poole was able to pop off screens for some open looks today.
Nigel Chivers Nigel Chivers 5'11" | CG Lugoff-Elgin | 2025 State SC – Lugoff-Elgin HS
Chivers a tough nosed point guard isn’t very big in height at all. Nigel has a good feel for the game. Look for Chivers to get minutes this season for the Demons. Chivers can knockdown the three point ball especially from the corners.
