Julion Beard Julion Beard 5'10" | PG Butler | 2022 State KY , Butler – The Bears have a new coach and once again have their eyes on a deep run in the 6th region tournament. Beard is the leading returning scorer for Butler and one of the best players in Louisville that never gets talked about. Julion is a good facilitator and scorer and should be in the mix for All Region team.
Jaden Schooler Jaden Schooler 6'1" | PG Fern Creek | 2022 State KY , Fern Creek – The son of the Tigers’ head coach, Jaden is a solid guard who is going to have a much bigger role as a Senior. Schooler showed more improved playmaking this summer as he played both on and off the ball during summer ball. If Fern Creek hopes to get back in the mix for the 6th region title, Schooler will need to step up in a big way.
Will Hardin Will Hardin 6'5" | PF Madison Central | 2022 State KY , Madison Central – The X factor for a Central team that won the 11th last year and will be heavily favored to do it again in 2022, Hardin is a stretch big who does everything the Indians need to secure a win. A good shooter from deep, Will is capable of scoring inside and out at 6’5.
Hayden Burgess Hayden Burgess 6'10" | PF Oldham County | 2022 State KY , Oldham County – One of the biggest players in the state, Hayden is a legitimate 6’10 and can cause a lot of problems for opposing teams when attacking the rim. Burgess’ offensive game continues to improve and he’s now a threat to score while facing up or playing with his back to the basket.
Braden Smith Braden Smith 6'0" | SG Thomas Nelson | 2022 State KY , Thomas Nelson – Thomas Nelson has been a doormat in the 5th region since the school opened but that’s changing and Smith is part of the reason why. Coming off a Junior season where he averaged 16 points per game, Braden was among the best in the state at 58% from three last year.
