We have designated specific teams in a creative and fun platform to simulate participation in “real” game situations. All four classes will touch on the starters, and the sixth man, while some groups will include bench players. So with two months before the official start date of the high school season, we take an in-depth look at some of the top performers on the hardwood this Fall. Let’s continue with the Junior Class First Team Selections…
Starters:
Rodney Gallagher Rodney Gallagher 6'0" | CG Laurel Highlands | 2023 State #176 Nation PA / 6’0 combo guard / Laurel Highlands High School
- A talented all-around player that has the advanced skillset to be one of the best hoopers in the state by his senior year
- He can score from a variety of spots on the floor during a game and likes the ball in his hands at crunch time
- Rodney has a multitude of Division 1 offers and will definitely receive more as the year moves forward
- Last Season: Averaged 20 points per game and shot 55% from the field
Landon Butler Landon Butler 6'2" | CG Latrobe | 2023 State PA / 6’2 shooting guard / Latrobe High School
- This young man looks to help his team with leadership and strong fundamental performances in each contest
- An exceptionally sound ballplayer that has a high basketball IQ
- Landon has a great amount of interest from college coaches on a variety of levels
- Last Season: Averaged 15 points per game and 5 assists per game
Daemar Kelly Daemar Kelly 6'3" | SF Penn Hills | 2023 State PA / 6’4 point guard / Penn Hills High School
- A very lean, athletic point guard who has the ability to penetrate the lane and make the long-distance shot as well
- He creates havoc on the defensive end of the floor with his length and quick hands
- Daemar has a Division 1 offer from Robert Morris University and growing interest from other Division 1 programs
- Last Season: Averaged 18 points per game and shot 60% from the field

- A very creative player that causes mismatches for his opponents with strong guard performances every night
- This quick, shifty ballplayer likes to get out in transition when he gets steals on defense to push the ball
- Brandon has drawn attention from a variety of schools at many levels
- Last Season: Averaged 17 points per game and 5 steals per game
Debaba Tshiebwe Debaba Tshiebwe 6'6" | PF Central Catholic | 2023 State PA / 6’6 power forward / Central Catholic High School
- He is built like a football player, which he now plays, but excels on the hoop court most importantly
- A strong post player who dominates the glass with excellent rebounding skills, while protecting the basket with his shot-blocking skill
- Dedaba has garnered attention from Division1, Division 2, and NAIA college coaches
- Last Season: Averaged a double/double in every game he played last season
6th Man: Travarese Rowe Travarese Rowe 6'3" | PF McKeesport | 2023 State PA / 6’4 wing forward / McKeesport High School
- His long, athletic body make him a definite threat in the post as well as on the wing
- He causes problems for his opponents with his vertical jumping ability on both ends of the court
- Travarese is developing interest from Division 2 and Division 3 schools
- Last Season: Averaged 15 points per game and 3 blocked shots per game
