Now that the grassroots season has come to a conclusion, many have turned their attention towards the upcoming high school season. Numerous Texas high school teams journeyed to Duncanville Fieldhouse to compete in the GASO DFW Fall Classic, and I was able to catch the morning slate of games on Saturday. So, here are some standout prospects from the event:

Reid Hocker | 2022 | 5’10’’ Point Guard | Lake Highlands HS - Hocker operated as the Wildcats’ starting floor general and looked very good in that role. He took care of the basketball on offense and was solid when shooting from beyond the three-point line. The Lake Highlands senior displayed good range from deep and got his triples up in rhythm when spotting up. He was poised when handling the ball against pressure as well. Additionally, Hocker showed toughness on defense, taking charges and diving for loose balls in order to gain extra possessions for his team.
