D’Angelo Fitzpatrick D’Angelo Fitzpatrick 6'5" | SF Haslett | 2023 State MI (2023, Haslett)
A way star like Fitzpatrick carries a lot of worth when it comes to the recruiting game. He put a huge effort in on that end and was often times the first man back. He uses his bounce to help him defend multiple positions.
Xander Middleton Xander Middleton 6'5" | SG Monroe | 2022 State MI (2023, Monroe)
Middleton one again proved that he can be an elite 2 way player. The most impressive thing defensively from him was how quickly he got back on D and stopped many transition opportunities. Middleton has long strides and he used them to fly back and defend.
Xander Mielock (2023, East Lansing)
Mielock has all the makings of a force on the defensive end. His strength plays a big role in his success on that end. He can be physical with, and defend, multiple positions. Mielock’s hustle on D allows him to constantly influence a game.
Duncan Moffitt Duncan Moffitt 5'10" | PG Jackson Northwest | 2024 State MI (2024, Jackson Northwest)
Moffitt did a lot of things really well, but his defense needs to be emphasized. I really liked how he buckled down on the perimeter. Nothing flashy, just good old fashioned tough defense. Moffitt kept a low base, stayed on his toes, and picked up stops,
Ryder Zajac (2023, Tecumseh)
He’s a bit undersized height wise for a post, but his strength and willingness to bang under the rim negates much of that. Zajac plays bigger than his height and he makes life difficult for his opponent. He battles for defensive position under the rim.
Chris Zielinski (2023, Homeschooled)
Zielinski might have been the physically strongest athlete in attendance at Flight Hankamp. He could body any player at the event and this gave him a huge defensive advantage.
