Jeremiah Coleman Jeremiah Coleman 6'0" Colorado Prep | 2022 CO – Colorado Prep
Jeremiah Coleman Jeremiah Coleman 6'0" Colorado Prep | 2022 CO is a player who came out to the Top 250 Expo with a chip on his shoulder, looking to prove himself as one of the top guards in the class of 2022. After coming back from injuries Jeremiah’s athleticism was very impressive. He had one play that had everyone in the gym turn their heads with a two-hand putback dunk attempt, not something you see often from a 6’0 point guard. On the offensive end, he has snappy movements that give defenders fits when trying to stay in front of him. His scoring opens up his passing game as he is an unselfish guard who likes to find open teammates.
Alex Rodriguez– Dakota Ridge
Alex Rodriguez was a player who I had not seen before and he was a pleasant surprise on the day. Alex liked to drive the ball then loop under the basket, which reminded me of Steve Nash. Alex is a patient guard who is always looking for open teammates, and he impressed me thoroughly with his unselfishness. When driving to the basket he could easily dish the ball off to teammates or finish through contact. Also from three-point range, Alex hit shots with ease. His composure on the court really impressed me as he did not seem to get sped up or overwhelmed in any situation.
Ryder McConnell Ryder McConnell 6'2" Sterling | 2023 CO – Sterling
Ryder McConnell Ryder McConnell 6'2" Sterling | 2023 CO is a combo-guard who does a bit of everything on the court. Ryder is just one of those who seems to be able to play any role asked of him. He is a scorer who can score at all three levels and has a great stroke from beyond three-point land. Then when looking for open teammates he is a high IQ passer who has a knack for finding cutters. Ryder is a floor general, it seems like every time he is on the court his teams’ ball movement and off-ball movement seem to elevate.
Geovanni velarde Geovanni velarde 6'2" Faith Christian | 2023 CO – Faith Christian
Geovanni velarde Geovanni velarde 6'2" Faith Christian | 2023 CO is another high IQ player on the court. Geovanni is a player who someone would love to play with as he is very unselfish. He is a player who can play from both guard spots but has a knack for moving off of the ball getting himself open, but is always surveying the floor for open teammates. After cutting he is a good finisher at the rim but specializes in putting up floaters over unsuspecting defenders. Geovanni is a guy who also does not mind playing a role which is a very valuable quality in a prospect.
Matt Yost Matt Yost 6'5" | SF Regis | 2022 State CO – Regis Jesuit
Matt Yost Matt Yost 6'5" | SF Regis | 2022 State CO may not be the person you think of when you hear playmaker as he is not a guard but he is a sneakily good passer who really stood out. The first thing you notice when watching him play is that he plays hard. On the board’s Matt uses his good frame and great height (6’6) to get gritty down low, banging for boards. Then on the offensive end of the floor, he likes to go high post and use his height to look over defenders looking for open teammates. He has a nice mid-range and close-to-the-basket game, this allows him to create for himself when not assisting teammates.
