#16 PHU – Ryker Mikkelsen Ryker Mikkelsen 6'3" | CG Orem Tigers | 2025 State UT || Pleasant Grove High School ||
Ryker has an opportunity to grab an open spot in the rotation. He is mature and he does a little bit of everything that could help him. The fact that he is willing to defend and be this young could help him crack the rotation. Ryker brings a lot of energy when he is on the floor. He is out there diving for loose balls and trying to get touches on rebounds or tips. He has very active hands as he is able to play in the passing lanes.
#25 PHU – Charlie Smith Charlie Smith 6'5" | SG Bountiful | 2025 State UT || Bountiful High School ||
Charlie brings some shooting and slashing to Bountiful who could use some of his skills this season, but not too sure if he will crack the rotation. Charlie has good size and he is not just a kid out there shooting, he has solid moves to the basket and he finds crafty ways to get to the rim or shake loose.
#26 PHU – Wes Murdock Wes Murdock 6'5" | SF Green Canyon | 2025 UT || Ridgeline High School ||
Wes is an interesting prospect in this class. He has good size and he is strong. He has a good motor and he has the ability to knock down some long jumpers. He plays a physical style but he also has soft hands. He is great around the rim and he is active around the glass which allows him to get easy buckets as well as find pockets that players can drop off pass to him for easy lays. Could end up being a sleeper in the class.
#29 PHU – Owen Simpson Owen Simpson 5'8" | SG Bingham | 2025 State UT || Bingham High School ||
Owen is another player that will end up being a sleeper in the class. Owen can shoot the ball and he has some range. He is a major threat in the pick n’ roll as he could stretch the floor. He is still developing and learning where he is needed on the floor. Once he figures out spacing and getting to his spots he will be able to use his shooting talent.
#33 PHU – Bryton Valdes Bryton Valdes 5'10" | PG Corner Canyon | 2025 State UT || Juan Diego Catholic ||
Bryton is going to get his shot in time as Juan Diego Catholic is not known to let younger players see the floor very often, especially when they’re freshman guards. Bryton can handle the ball and he has great IQ and he can frankly do a little bit of everything. I think that his IQ is what will enable him to see the floor.
