The first day of September saw the latest Prep Hoops Louisiana rankings for the class of 2023 being released. While this class was thought to be top heavy in recent months, the talent in this class is beginning to surface. There are definitely some studs in this class and some that have the potential to be very good players who bloom late. In this overview, we will hit a little bit of it all as we review the rankings from the 2023 class.

The Top Ten

The members of the ten in this class might not have changed much (only one new member) but the configuration did.  Chris Lockett Chris Lockett 6'5" | CG Isidore Newman | 2023 State #28 Nation LA , the nations 28th ranked player, heads the class.  He is followed by Corey Chest Corey Chest 6'7" | SF McMain | 2023 State LA  used the Prep Hoops and EYBL live period to have a coming out party.  Tyler Ringgold Tyler Ringgold 6'7" | SF Southern Lab | 2023 State #182 Nation LA of Southern Lab comes in at #3 following his stellar play at the Northwestern State elite camp.  John Kelly John Kelly 6'7" | PF Crescent City | 2023 State #175 Nation LA  and Jamaria Clark Jamaria Clark 6'2" | CG Doyline | 2023 State #177 Nation LA around out the top five for this class.  

Slots six through ten saw Corey Skillman Corey Skillman 6'4" | SG Brother Martin | 2023 State LA  moving past
