I got to watch a lot of basketball this spring and summer, and there were a lot of players in New Mexico that stood out while playing in both local, and national tournaments! Summer is over, and with only a few fall events left the start of the high school basketball season is right around the corner. Offseason workouts are in full swing, and the preseason is only about 60 days away. Here is a breakdown of the top 10 wings from our recent Class of 2022 update.

  1. SF 6’6 Sean Johnson Sean Johnson 6'6" | SF Sandia | 2022 State NM , Sandia: Johnson enters his senior year coming off a great junior season where he averaged , and was selected to the All-State First team, and named District Player of the year. He is  an athletic wing that thrives in transition, an extremely versatile defender, and rebounder when his motor is going. Sean has improved his ball skills and shooting ability a lot since his entering high school, and will be key to leading Sandia to another playoff appearance with hopes of a deep run.
