Here’s a look at part two of the many 2022 prospects that will be in attendance.
Chris Brown Chris Brown 6'5" | SG Peninsula Catholic | 2022 State VA | 6’3” CG | Peninsula Catholic
Brown is on the radar of college coaches at multiple levels and he will have a chance to get on even more at the Fall Series when coaches see his blend of size, skill and athleticism at his position. He can play on and off the basketball and can score it in a number of ways, he’s unselfish and a good playmaker and he’s an excellent defender both on and off the basketball.
Travon Gray | 6’5” WF | Peninsula Catholic
Gray had a great showing in the Fall Series last year with Peninsula Catholic and continued his extremely productive ways throughout the season and the summer as well. The 6’5” forward is versatile and can play and guard multiple positions, he plays with a terrific motor and brings it on both ends of the floor and he is productive across the board in a number of ways.
Greg Williams Greg Williams 6'4" | SF VA Academy | 2022 State VA | 6’3” WG | VA Academy
Williams has the chance to put himself on the map for a number of coaches with his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor and really shoot it from deep. Williams is long and athletic and can play at and above the rim in transition, he’s a versatile defender who can take on the other team’s best player and he can really knock it down from deep off the catch and on the move.
Tazir Smith Tazir Smith 6'3" | SF Virginia Academy | 2022 State VA | 6’2” WG | VA Academy
Smith is an intriguing guard prospect who can play both on the wing and on the basketball and has the ability to make plays in a number of ways. The 6’2” guard is athletic and thrives in transition with his vision and playmaking ability, he’s an excellent finisher at and above the rim and his versatility on both ends should impress college coaches with his multitude of skills and the way he plays the game.
Lorenzo Nichols Lorenzo Nichols 5'9" | PG Virginia Academy | 2022 State VA | 5’10” PG | VA Academy
Nichols had a really good showing in the one session VA Academy played in last year as he did a good job of both running the show and showing that he can make shots at a high clip as well. The smooth lefty shot the ball particularly well from deep both off the catch and off the bounce, he ran the pick-and-roll well and made plays for others and he was a pest defensively as well.
Tyrell Harris Tyrell Harris 6'6" | PF Potomac | 2021 State VA | 6’6” PF | VA Post Grad Academy
Harris was Conference and Region POY last year while helping his Potomac team to the state semifinals, and he’s the perfect guy for a post grad year as he could catch the eyes of coaches easily with his skill set at his size. He’s very versatile as he can shoot it from deep, put it on the deck and attack in isolations situations, guard multiple positions and he’s a good rebounder as well.
Clark Castleberry | 6’8” C | VA Post Grad Academy
Castleberry is another prospect who should thrive with a post grad year at VA Post Grad as he has steadily improved year after year and had a great summer playing with VA Premier . The 6’8” center is a work horse who battles in the paint and is able to carve out space, he has good touch out to the three-point line and he’s become more mobile and has improved his touch every time I’ve seen him play.
