The first session will take place at U-Turn in Richmond with games starting at 1. There are 18 teams in the event, and will be two more sessions on 10/10 and 10/24 at U-Turn as well.
There are a lot of prospects to preview in the event, so stay tuned on Prep Hoops and if you can’t make it in person you can tune into the live stream on the CBG Live Network.
Here’s a look at part one of the many 2022 standouts that will be in attendance.
Ant Davis | 6’5” WF | Miller School
Davis already has a handful of division one schools that have offered him, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he were to find some more at the Fall Series as he checks a lot of boxes for what coaches are looking for. He’s a high motor wing that can put it on the deck and is a better shooter than he’s given credit for, he’s an excellent athlete that can play well above the rim and he’s very productive and efficient when he’s on the floor.
Jacob Rice Jacob Rice 6'7" | SF Miller School | 2022 State VA | 6’7” PF | Miller School
Rice had a breakout season for Miller School last year as a junior, and he followed it up with a good summer with VA Premier and holds a number of division two offers as it is right now. The 6’7” forward is versatile and productive as he can play inside-out, he plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor and he always finds a way to impact the game in a positive way.
George Beal George Beal 6'4" | SF Kings Fork | 2022 State VA | 6’4” WF | King’s Fork
Beal recently committed to LIU-Brooklyn and they got a steal with a high upside wing is set to be one of the top players in the 757 this season after a big showing in CBG events last year. The 6’4” wing plays with a great motor and gets after it on both ends of the floor, he can score it from multiple levels and really thrives in transition with his athleticism and his energy is infectious to the entire team.
DJ Campbell | 6’1” PG | Kecoughtan
The Western Carolina commit was one of the top players on the CBG Circuit last year, and made a name for himself as a big time floor general and one of the top true point guards in the area. He’ll lead another talented Kecoughtan group this year with his ability to make everyone on the floor better, set the tone on both ends of the floor for his team and make shots off the bounce, particularly in the midrange area.
Alphonzo Billups Alphonzo Billups 6'7" | SF Varina | 2022 State #154 Nation VA | 6’7” WF | Varina
The nationally ranked wing was a standout at all of the CBG events last year including the Fall and Winter Series as well as the ECE 24 camp, and the recent VCU commit is set to show that he’s ready to make an immediate impact in the A10 next year. With his blend of size, athleticism and playmaking ability, Billups is a two way impact player that stuffs the stat sheet and can simply make plays most players at his position can’t.
Christian Carden Christian Carden 6'4" | PF Varina | 2022 State VA | 6’5”PF | Varina
Carden may not have the recognition as a prospect that Billups does, but the 6’5” forward is as important to the success of the Blue Devils as anyone with his versatility and ability to play multiple positions and impact the game in a number of ways. At 6’5” he can guard multiple positions, he can score from a lot of places on the floor and he’s an excellent playmaker at his size with excellent vision and passing ability.
Amari Bailey Amari Bailey 6'4" | PF Varina | 2022 State VA | 6’4” PF | Varina
Bailey is a two sport star that also thrives on the football field, but he was another big time performer on last year’s CBG Circuit with Varina. Bailey’s a little undersized at his position but what he lacks in height he makes up for in production and versatility as he bullies guys in the post, he has a great midrange and face up game and he consistently puts up big numbers for his team.
