Continue ReadingThe 9 Dime Fall League has reached the midway point of the season and teams have begun to settle into their respective spots in the standings. As the season has gone on, we have seen new players step into new roles as well as improvement in their overall skillset and physique which allows them to make a larger impact on games. Listed below are several players who have performed well enough in the first half of the season to be considered a prospect that has stock on the rise.
TCA/Fayetteville Christian Senior Guard Brian Bullock: For the first three weeks of the season, his team struggled to keep games competitive but things changed during week 4 in their matchup with Rosehill. He found his rhythm scoring the ball, finishing with a game high of 26 Points, knocking down the outside shot at a high level and finishing in the paint. His team would come up short in overtime but if he continues to play at this level, he will be a player that picks up college interest.
Westside/Westover HS Junior Guard Noah Jovanovic: Last season he didn’t see much time on the varsity level but still brought energy on the bench for his team and spent time in the offseason working on his game. This season he has come to play and put together some solid performances but his best showing of the season came on Tuesday night against The Dawgs. He found his rhythm from downtown and remained consistent, knocking down seven three point shots and scoring a game high of 24 Points.
Dawgs/Terry Sanford Senior Forward Jackson Link: NCAA D3 & NAIA programs should lock in his information and watch him very closely during Fall League and the upcoming high school season. He fits the mold of what a program is looking for on the next level with his combination of size, skillset and upside. Over the past year he has made major strides and throughout the first half of the season he is one of the leading scorers for his team.
Eagles/ Fayetteville Academy Sophomore Forward Alonso Easterling: In Week 1 he made some plays down the stretch, knocking down some outside shots and rebounding the ball. However his coming out party for the league came on Tuesday night in their week 4 matchup with The Bucks. The 6′ 8 Forward scored 19 Points, knocking down five three pointers, pulled down six rebounds and played the game with a level of enthusiasm that was infectious for his team.
The Life/ New Life Christian Junior Guard Kaleb James: He still has a ways to go with adding some muscle to his body and understanding how to attack within the flow of a team offense but overall he has the raw talent that makes him intriguing. His scoring has been solid but he has a chance to be a very special defender which he shows some flashes of from time to time. He has a long wingspan, nice lateral quickness and throughout multiple games he’s used his athleticism to block and alter shots above the rim.
