Check out our 5 must see seniors below:
Anthony Benard Anthony Benard 6'1" | CG Grosse Pointe South | 2023 State MI (CG, Grosse Pointe South)
Benard really sent a message during grassroots season. We’re all going to see this elite player at another level this high school season. I thought his handles looked much improved, showing the ability to breakdown high level defenders. Benard has the physical strength and athleticism to be an elite defender as well. He’s going to prove that he’s among the best in the state regardless of class this year.
Kaden Brown Kaden Brown 5'10" | PG Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2023 State MI (PG, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)
Brown is one of the most skilled backcourt players in the state. He keeps turnovers to a minimum and is so efficient with the ball in his hands. Brown can create offensively off the bounce as well as with the pass.
D’Angelo Fitzpatrick D’Angelo Fitzpatrick 6'5" | SF Haslett | 2023 State MI (SF, Haslett)
Fitzpatrick will be an exciting player to see this coming season. He’s a fantastic finisher, using his underestimated athleticism at the rim. Fitzpatrick is a big time weapon in transition. No opposing coach will want to see him fill the wing with numbers on the break.
Malik Olafioye Malik Olafioye 6'2" | PG Ecorse | 2023 MI (PG, Ecorse)
As most of my readers know, I’ve been really high on Olafioye since the day he stepped into high school. From the Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250 his freshman year, he has dominated the basketball scene in Michigan. Olafioye’s game continues to grow and he’ll be one of the most explosive scorers in the state this season.
Curtis Williams Curtis Williams 6'5" | SF Brother Rice | 2023 State #93 Nation MI (SF, Brother Rice)
Williams is a highly ranked national target, and for good reason. It’s all there for this young man. He has elite size and strength among all the physical intangibles. Williams has a high basketball IQ and a keen understanding of the ebbs and flows of the game. He’s a versatile scorer that doesn’t have to force the issue to be dominant on the offensive end.
