The 2024 rankings update is finally here with the Labor Day weekend being over. The new update added over 20 players to the rankings and they are ready to make an impact in their second season of high school basketball. Here are the top newcomers to the 2024 rankings update.

Khalid Bakare Khalid Bakare 6'5" | SG Saint Benedict’s Preparatory School | 2024 State NJ , 6’5 SG St. Benedict’s Prep

Bakare is the top newcomer on the list as he checks in at 37. The 6’5 wing attacks the basket hard and is a good finisher around the basket. Bakare does not mind drawing contact and is an underrated shooter. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and moves well without the ball in his hands. Bakare has the potential to break out this season, which should raise his stock as the 2021-22 season goes on.

Taron Murray Taron Murray 6'3" | CG Camden | 2024 State NJ , 6’3 CG Camden

Murray has had a good summer and is looking to carry it over into the season. The 6’3 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to get by his defender and finish around the rim. Murray is more than just a slasher as he has a good shooting stroke and can knock down
