There is a ton of talent and the bulk of that talent was on display at the Advent Fieldhouse in Winter Haven, Florida. These young men can do it all and have a bright future ahead. Below are 5 standouts that caught my attention: College coaches need to take note asap on these young men
Carter McDole Carter McDole 6'5" | SF Dr. Phillips | 2024 CA-S – 6’6 Wing Dr. Phillips High School- Carter is a gifted athlete coming off a strong showing winning the 15u Prep Hoops Final over the summer in Atlanta. Carter can dominate the floor at both ends and gets to the rim with ease. Carter has a great attitude and has a strong work ethic. Carter makes the game look easy which is due to the vast amount of work he puts into his game. Carter is a matchup nightmare and requires the opposing coach to gameplan around his game. I expect this young man to have several offers within the next year and I am confident he will be amongst the top players in his class.
Chandler Watts Chandler Watts 6'4" | CG Combine Academy | 2024 State NC – 6’4 G Montverde High School – Chandler has a tremendous amount of athleticism and is a strong finisher. He has the “pro” body frame and is a very strong young man. Chandler is very aggressive and plays lockdown defense which is a staple of the Montverde program. Chandler has major upside while he continues to add tools to his game. He plays with intensity and had a very strong showing at the Top 250 showcase. I view him as a combo guard that can be used in several different ways.
Chris Cornish Chris Cornish 6'4" | SF Charlotte | 2024 State FL – 6’4 Wing Charlotte High School – I have seen this young man play since 3rd grade and all I can say is WOW. His game has grown tremendously and he completely dominated the showcase. Chris is a high flyer and was one of the most athletic players in the building. He is a handful to try and stop and has a quick first step when attacking the basket. He displayed very good footwork and it shows the endless hours in the gym are paying off. He has a very good chance to be in the conversation for one of the best players in his class this upcoming season. Keep an eye on this young man!
Sammie Yeanay Sammie Yeanay 6'7" | PF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State #98 Nation AZ – 6’6 PF North Marion – Sammie is a dominating force in the paint with an intimidating presence. He is very physical and has a next-level ready frame. Many times when I see a player of that size I question if they can shoot but from the time I spent watching him he seemed to have a good overall feel for the game and knocked down some outside shots. Sammie is a force to deal with and will continue to develop. I see a lot of upside with this young man as well and look forward to seeing how he performs this upcoming High School season.
Isaac Celiscar Isaac Celiscar 6'6" | SG Winter Haven | 2024 State #263 Nation FL – 6’6 Wing Winter Haven – Isaac was one of the best overall athletes in the gym during the showcase. He is a monster in transition and had multiple in-game dunks. He displayed a high-energy motor on both ends and is very athletic. Winter Haven will be a fun team to watch this upcoming season with this young man paired with another top showcase performer Dylan James Dylan James 6'8" | SF The Rock | 2023 State #48 Nation FL . The combination of Isaac’s athleticism and over-skill will get him to the next level for sure. He will be heavily recruited it is just a matter of time.
