Some bigger school players mixed in with small schools and all have their own upside.
Here are 8 that should have big seasons and hopefully gain some recognition:
Sagith Vargas Sagith Vargas 5'10" | PG Rancho Solano Prep | 2024 State AZ Rancho Solano Prep (Pictured)
A pure PG with some flare to the game. He really sees the court well and he can burst into the lane and make plays or score it. He can hit perimeter jumpers and his confidence is obvious.
Ryan Jackson Ryan Jackson 6'6" | SF AZ Compass Prep Black | 2024 State AZ Phhoenix Prep
An inside and out threat transferred over to PHH Prep from Desert Ridge. He is very strong and can score it versus bigger players plus defend multiple positions. He is a capable perimeter shooter but prefers to get downhill scoring it through contact with a good handle for position.
Tim Gorham Tim Gorham 6'3" | SF Eastmark | 2024 State AZ Eastmark
A super versatile forward seems to play any position on the court. He will bring toughness, scoring, rebounding, ball handling and defending many positions.
Nic Corbo Nic Corbo 6'2" | CG Chaparral | 2024 State AZ Chaparral
A slick combo guard can pass it and score it. He has some wiggle in his handle to get passed his defenders and makes pull-ups from mid and is a capable 3pt shooter.
Erik Crispin Erik Crispin 6'3" | SF LFPA Gilbert | 2024 State AZ LFPA-Gilbert
An athletic forward who plays hard on both sides of the court. He gets into the lane with very few strides and is hard to keep in front of you. He is advanced on defense with collecting steals and rebounding the ball using his athletic gifts.
Jaylen Wollangk Jaylen Wollangk 5'11" | PG Mesquite | 2024 State AZ Mesquite
A tough and cerebral pure PG should have a bigger role on varsity. He handles pressure well and can pass his defenders with a burst. He uses his lateral quickness and strength to defend on the ball.
Greg Bienvenue Greg Bienvenue 6'5" | PF Desert Ridge | 2024 AZ Desert Ridge
A wildly athletic forward also happens to be a top-10 Offensive lineman in the 2024 class for football. He has unreal strength and power he uses to rebound in and out of his area and runs the floor impressively.
AJ Seumanu AJ Seumanu 6'2" | SF Mesa | 2024 State AZ Mesa
A transfer from Marcos de Niza to Mesa is a big deal. It may not make the waves of a 5-star transferring to a big local prep, but for the AIA, AJ is a major mismatch problem. He plays about as hard as you can and will play the 3-5 for the Jackrabbits. He can rebound at a good clip plus score it from inside and hit the 3.
