Size and versatility, those are two things that are apparent in the latest update of the 2024 rankings in the state of North Carolina. There’s a lot to process with each prospect and below, there’s a brief overview of what every prospect brings to the floor. Check out the Top 10 overview of the 2024 Class.

1. Paul McNeil Paul McNeil 6'6" | CG Richmond Senior | 2024 State NC | 6’6 Guard/Wing | Richmond County High

McNeil swaps from No. 2 to No. 1 in the 2024 class rankings given his activity and development on the Big Shots stage. He’s a long, wiry guard that likes to create off the bounce and find his shot on the perimeter. He’s got a nice skillset and feel for the game and as his body develops, he’ll be an interesting prospect to track. Indiana, Tennessee and Western Carolina have offered him so far.

8. Drake Powell Drake Powell 6'6" | SG Northwood | 2024 State NC | 6’5 Guard | Northwood High

Powell is a “head-turner” type of prospect when he’s on the floor and is another mainstay in the Top 10 ranks. He uses his length and strength on the defensive end to force turnovers and create fastbreak opportunities. Offensively, he’s got quite the confidence as a perimeter shooter with efficiency when he gets going. He’s one to watch at Northwood High in 2021-22.
