Continue ReadingIt is the third week of the rankings update and this week we are taking the time this week to put out some coverage on the 2024’s. With players raising their stock, being added, and so much more, there is a lot to talk about based off of these rankings. Granted, not all 2024’s have been ranked as of yet and with there still over 100 players still on the the watch list, there is still plenty to takeaway from this first set. Here, we a take a look at some of the highlights that stood out to me in this notebook.
Our First Look At The Top 10:
- Fort Wayne North SG Brauntae Johnson Brauntae Johnson 6'2" | PG Fort Wayne North Side | 2024 IN is our first number 1 spot holder as this multisport athlete is a guy with all the tools to succeed.
- Coming in at number 2 is Franklin Central SG Lyna Brooks Lyna Brooks 6'3" | CG Saginaw Arthur Hill | 2024 State MI . Great size already and plays well on and off the ball.
- At number 3 we have Brownstown Central SF and natural scorer Jack Benter Jack Benter 6'4" | SG Brownstown Central | 2024 State #121 Nation IN .
- Coming in at 4 is Fort Wayne Concordia SG Ajani Washington Ajani Washington 6'2" | SG New Haven | 2024 State IN and was a guy that looked better and better each time I saw him this summer.
- Rounding out the top 5 is our first lead guard, K.J. Windham K.J. Windham 6'3" | PG Ben Davis | 2024 State #137 Nation IN of Ben Davis.
- At number 6 is Franklin Community PG Micah Davis Micah Davis 6'0" | PG Franklin | 2024 State #184 Nation IN who currently has an offer from IUPUI.

- Linton-Stockton PF Braden Walters Braden Walters 6'6" | PF Terre Haute North | 2024 State IN and he could be in for a real breakout year this upcoming high school season.
- At number 9 was one of the most talked about 2024s all AAU season in Avon SG Jordan Lomax Jordan Lomax 6'3" | SG Brownsburg | 2024 State IN . Don’t be surprised to see him in the top 5 soon.
- And rounding out the top 10 is stud Homestead center Tucker Day Tucker Day 6'7" | C Canterbury | 2024 State IN .
Players In The 11-25 Range That Could Raise Their Stock Soon:
- Isaac Andrews Isaac Andrews 6'1" | SG Wapahani | 2024 State IN (13th, Hammond, SG): I have said this before and I will say it again, Andrews might be the toughest player on this 2024 list. He is a lead guard that is solid at scoring at all three levels and seems to always be in the thick of things. Would not be shocked to see him crack the top 10 soon.
- Josiah Dunham Josiah Dunham 6'0" | PG Evansville Christian | 2024 State IN (16th, Evansville Christian, PG): Dunham is another lead guard that can battle. Sees the floor real well and has a high IQ when he has the ball in his hands. For sure one of the more natural lead guards in the top 25.
- Taden Metzger Taden Metzger 6'3" | SG Fishers | 2024 State IN (17th, Marion, SG): Matzger is a pure shooter that has a very quick release and can make a defense pay if left open. He is a playmaker and has a solid feel for the game overall. Type of player that is going to get better and better each year.
- Joey Schmitz Joey Schmitz 6'2" | PG Center Grove | 2024 State IN (20th, Center Grove, PG): Schmitz is a lead guard with a high IQ and is calm under pressure. Finds the open man but can also get out and bust 3s. Interesting prospect to watch for this high school season.
Players In The Watch List To Watch For:
- Kobi Bowles Kobi Bowles 6'2" | PG Lawrence North | 2024 State IN (Lawrence North, PG): Bowles is a shifty guard that stood out this summer in a lot of ways. Showed his ability to make plays and get to the basket and score almost anytime he wanted. Bowels is going to play a huge role for Lawrence North this season and could have one of the biggest breakout seasons out of all the 2024s.
- Mason Harvey Mason Harvey 6'7" | PF Seton Catholic | 2024 State IN (Seton Cathlolic, PF): Harvey was one of the more intriguing prospects I watched over the summer. Long, lanky, and can the stretch the floor and knock down outside jumpers so well. Needs to add muscle but the talent looks to be there for him.
- Riley Shepherd Riley Shepherd 6'5" | SF Tippecanoe Valley | 2024 State IN (Tippecanoe Valley, SF): Shepheard is a natural scoring wing that is so consistent with his shot making. He has an outstanding shooting stroke and can get a little crafty on the outside. Upside is for sure here for Shepherd.
- Matt Hofer Matt Hofer 6'5" | PF Valparaiso | 2024 IN (Valparaiso, PF): Hofer is a true post and with natural size and strength already as an underclassman. He was a bit raw and looked to be overthinking at times but his size and force he plays with is already a standout. Once he develops more he could end up being one of the best bigs in the 2024 class.
