Jaylen Curry Jaylen Curry 6'1" | PG Calvary Christian | 2023 State #109 Nation FL | JL Chambers
from No. 33 to No. 2
Curry cooled off a bit in the rankings at one point with a move to Combine Academy but since moving back to his old high school (JL Chambers), he’s found his mojo again so to speak. He won a gold medal with Team USA in the FIBA U16 Americas Championship while averaging 8.8 ppg, 5.7 apg and 3.8 spg. Not only is he a sharpshooter, he’s a high-level passer and defender with his best basketball ahead of him in 2021-22. He holds a number of HM offers already.
Caden Fitzgibbons Caden Fitzgibbons 6'2" | SG Winston-Salem Christian Academy | 2023 State NC | Moravian Prep
from No. 159 to No. 38
Fitzgibbons is probably one of the biggest leapers in the 2023 class given his movement from Mount Airy to Moravian Prep to develop his game. He’s an athletic guard with athleticism and an IQ on both ends of the floor as a defender, rebounder and scorer. He produced 11.9 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.2 apg and 1.9 spg in 2020-21. He’s got good potential at the next level.
Jaiden Thompson Jaiden Thompson 6'1" | PG Central Cabarrus | 2023 State NC | Central Cabarrus
from No. 100 to No. 41
Thompson finds from the 100 spot inside the top 50 to No. 41 as he continues to show off his combo guard skills. He does well to control the pace/tempo with the ball in his hands and makes plays whenever possible as a scorer and distributor. Defensively, he uses his length to be a presence on the perimeter then rebound and start the break. He holds an offer from East Carolina.
Masaun Moore-Bryant Masaun Moore-Bryant 6'0" | PG Cape Fear | 2023 State NC | Cape Fear
from No. 147 to No. 58
Moore-Bryant had a productive grassroots season in the backcourt with Team Wall , showing off his ability to score on all three levels and defend the entire floor. He’s an electric guard that knows how to make his presence felt on both ends of the floor. Look for him to have a strong senior campaign at Cape Fear High.
Randy Dockery Randy Dockery 6'2" | CG Seventy-First | 2023 State NC | Seventy-First
from No. 75 to No. 63
Dockery is a lead guard due for a strong junior season after producing on the grassroots scene with Fayetteville Flash and Watch Us Work Wildcatz. He’s got good instincts creating off the bounce and knocking down shots on the perimeter. As he shows his prowess on the defensive end, look out. He’s one of a few names to keep an eye on at Seventy-First High School in 2021-22.
