Jahmir Smith Jahmir Smith 6'0" | PG Centennial Highschool | 2023 GA , 6’0 PG Holy Spirit
Smith’s collegiate future might be on the gridiron, but he is also a standout on the hardwood. The 6’0 guard is a big-time athlete who knows how to finish above the rim. Smith is lightning-quick with the ball in his hands, making it hard for defenders to stay in front of him. He can knock down open jumpers from distance and is an underrated defender. Smith’s combination of athleticism and talent is something that could get him an offer sooner rather than later.
Daniel Vessey Daniel Vessey 6'3" | CG Hun | 2023 State NJ , 6’3 SG Hun
Vessey had a strong summer with the NY Lightning HGSL team and is looking to carry it over into the winter. The 6’3 guard has a nice release on his jumper and can knock down jumpers in bunches. Vessey moves exceptionally well off the ball, freeing himself up for easy layups and jumpers. He is an underrated rebounder and does not make many bad decisions in the half court. Vessey is one of the better shooters in the class, which should only help his stock during the recruiting process.
Ian Imegwu Ian Imegwu 6'8" | PF Blair Academy | 2023 State NJ , 6’8 PF Blair Academy
Imegwu is slated for a breakout season with the Buccaneers as he completes senior big Lual Manyang Lual Manyang 6'10" | C Blair Academy | 2022 State #232 Nation NJ nicely. The 6’8 lefty is comfortable playing on the perimeter as he has a good release and his range extends past the three-point line. Imegwu can also get position down low and draw contact around the basket. He has a nice touch around the rim and fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Imegwu is a stretch-four prospect who should get more looks in Blair Academy’s offense.
Darius Phillips, 6’7 PF Seton Hall Prep
Phillips is a prospect to watch in Essex County as he gets to show his all-around skillset. The 6’7 forward has a strong frame, which he uses to finish around the basket and draw contact. Phillips can also play on the perimeter as his range goes out to the three-point line and can also put the ball on the floor. He attacks the glass on both ends of the floor and is a good post defender. Phillips is a physical, stretch-four prospect who is a breakout contender to watch in the 2023 class.
Jackson Tindall Jackson Tindall 6'7" | PF St. Peter's Prep | 2024 NLG , 6’7 SF St. Peter’s Prep
Tindall is a name to watch this season as he will provide a team with skill on the perimeter. The 6’7 wing has a smooth shooting stroke and uses his length to shoot over smaller defenders. Tindall is more than just a shooter as he can also finish around the basket and handle the ball on the perimeter. He is a good rebounder and has the potential to defend multiple positions. Tindall is a two-way wing who is ready for a big 2021-22 season.
