Trey Grube Trey Grube 6'0" | SG Manheim Central | 2023 State PA | 5’11 G Manheim Central + Nook Raiders
Trey received numerous accolades from the regular season, camps and tournaments this year; and the key to it all was his jump shot. Coming off his 10th grade campaign when he averaged over 17 p/g, the 5’11 sniper knocks down numerous triples every outing. His crisp footwork and mechanics are how he drains threes all the way from NBA range. Coaches will be excited to see how he builds off that going into the ‘21-22 season.
Nolan Gilbert Nolan Gilbert 6'4" | PF Cumberland Valley | 2023 State PA | 6’5 F Cumberland Valley + York Ballers
The CV forward has some versatility. With his plus positional strength, Nolan defends 3s and 4s, and he’s a monster on the glass. Gilbert made the most of offensive touches as a sophomore by making quick decisions. When teammates hit him after cutting to the hoop, he immediately gets off floaters or 1-2 post moves. With 3 starters gone to graduation, count on Nolan to be the source of instant offense next season.
Camden Hurst Camden Hurst 6'2" | PG Lancaster Mennonite | 2023 State PA | 6’2 G Lancaster Mennonite + Nook Raiders
You don’t average 22 p/g in the Lancaster Lebanon Conference without being a legit scorer. Camden possesses the prerequisite skills to get buckets attacking from the weak side and using self-creation on the first side. He can use his hesi to get to the middle of the defense or rip through and explode down the baseline, and get to the free throw line where he shot 88% as a sophomore.
Dylan Levis | 5’8 G Cumberland Valley + York Ballers
Last season, Dylan was CV’s primary ball-handler in the full court – bringing the ball up the floor and breaking presses – but he shared duties in half court sets. Over the summer, he demonstrated he can shoulder more responsibilities on-ball, running a team. In addition to his spot up threes and connecting plays, Levis will get the chance to prove he’s more than just a facilitator.
Karron Mallory | 6’0 G Northeastern + York Ballers
Mallory is a dynamic point guard on offense. Rather than a reactive passer who jumps to see how defenders will respond, Karron is a proactive passer. He jumps to access passing windows he already sees. He uses the other windows he sees to dart past whoever is guarding him and contort around rim protectors for acrobatic finishes. The vision Karron has on offense is evident on the other end when he jumps passing lanes.
Cole Shatto Cole Shatto 6'8" | PF Octorara Area | 2023 State PA | 6’9 C Octorara + LA Elit3
Cole maximizes his size by keeping the ball high and away from smaller defenders, a habit hard to instill in young bigs. Versus players his heights, he can pick up low and gets to his drop-step – his bread & butter. Being light on his feet helps get easy put-backs and grab defensive boards. Of course, the touch displays at the rim translates to his jumper.
Marcus Sweeney | 6’1 G Hershey + Nook Raiders
A defensive back on the football field, Marcus reads and reacts well on the court. His quick mental processing is evident when he makes quick decisions with the ball, without needing to dribble. And when he does handle the ball, he can blow by his man off the dribble. The son of a coach, Sweeney’s football background also shows up in the way he aggressively defends and grabs rebounds.
Tristen Waters Tristen Waters 6'2" | CG Bishop McDevitt | 2023 State PA | 6’3 G McDevitt + Philly Pride
The city of Harrisburg’s got another one. Tristen is a high flyer on the break and crafty in the lane. He uses his slight frame to contort his body and slip past defenders for tough finishes. That ability to get in the paint pairs well with his 3 point shooting, particularly if teams try to sag off him. One skill people don’t normally see in guards is rim protection. But Waters uses his leaping ability to time up blocks really well.
David Weaver David Weaver 6'7" | PF Lancaster Mennonite | 2023 State PA | 6’6 F/C Lancaster Mennonite + Nook Raiders
The big man for LM is a smooth operator. Weaver isn’t the most vertical athlete but he slides into position on defense and times up blocks well. On the opposite end, he rolls to the rim hard and shows nice touch around the basket. His most intriguing trait is his shooting. Not only can David catch & shoot from three, he can catch, step back, and fire.
