We will look at some of the most underrated scholarship level players still available in the state of VA. Here’s a look at part two of the underrated scholarship guards in the senior class.
Cam Gregory Cam Gregory 6'5" | CG Steward School | 2022 State VA | 6’3” | Steward School
Gregory came to Steward from Maryland prior to his junior season, and he made a name for himself at Steward last year and has played well for Team Richmond 17U over the last few years. The 6’3” guard is long and knows how to use his length on both ends, he’s fluid and a good athlete when he gets downhill and he can both score it and make plays for others.
Garrett Brennan Garrett Brennan 6'3" | CG St. Stephens & St. Agnes | 2022 State VA | 6’3” | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes
Brennan is one of the most underrated players in the DMV area, as he can play both guard positions and has a mix of skill, athleticism and toughness you have to love. He’s smooth off the bounce and excellent in pick-and-rolls as he can see the floor and changes speeds well, he can make shots from deep off the bounce and off the catch and he is a tough nosed guy who will make the hustle and gritty plays on the defensive end too.
Gray Proffitt Gray Proffitt 6'5" | CG Douglas Freeman | 2022 State VA | 6’5” | Douglas Freeman
Profitt is a unique prospect who really came on during the CBG Winter Series last year and continued it with a good summer with Rock It Sports, and his mix of size and playmaking ability makes him very intriguing at the next level. While he isn’t the most dynamic guy he is a big guard who is crafty and changes speeds well, he has great footwork and is able to see the floor and makes terrific passes and reads and he’s able to score it efficiently from multiple levels.
Walker Andrews Walker Andrews 6'1" | CG Virginia Episcopal | 2022 State VA | 5’11” | VES
Andrews is known as a high level shooter that can fill it up in bunches, but he has more to his game than just that as he’s a good athlete and plays with grit on both ends of the floor as well. He has deep range and a quick release and once he makes one he can ring off multiple in a row, he’s a tough minded hustle type of player on the defensive end and he can play on and off the ball as well.
Keishawn Pulley Keishawn Pulley 6'2" | CG St. Christopher's School | 2022 State VA | 6’2” | St. Chris
Pulley has really developed his game since he was a freshman at St. Chris where he was a spot up and knock down shooter, and has turned himself into a combo guard that can do a little bit of everything. He’s long and crafty off the bounce, he makes plays for others and he’s still a big time shooter from deep who can make shots off the catch and off the bounce.
