2022 Prospect Rankings New Names
Jacolby Pearson Jacolby Pearson 6'4" | SG Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2022 State ND |6-3 SG| Four Winds-Minnewaukan
I watched him at the NDSU team camp in June. Wow, I was impressed! Pearson has the talent to be an All-Region player. He is a lefty with a super smooth game. He is a long and athletic guard that will give smaller guards fits. Pearson is a crafty and efficient finisher. He is also a gifted ballhandler and passer. Last but not least, Jacolby is a versatile and tough defender. He is at the top of my watchlist for the start of the season.
Evan Van Dam Evan Van Dam 6'6" | PF Fargo Davies | 2022 State ND |6-6 PF| Fargo Davies
He has improved his game immensely in the last 6 months. Evan is a hard-working big man that will add depth to the Eagles frontcourt. Van Dam can hit the 15-foot and score around the basket. His effort, size, and athleticism will be welcomed when it comes to interior defense and rebounding.
Jaxon Paul Jaxon Paul 6'3" | SF Fargo Shanley | 2022 ND |6’3 SF| Fargo Shanley/Next Level Basketball Academy
His strength and overall physicality has improved. Paul has become a reliable, trusted, and smooth finisher. Jaxon’s post and team defense improved over the summer months. He had a good showing this summer with NLBA, and he will be ready to contribute to Shanley’s success in the upcoming season.
Gunner Schwartz Gunner Schwartz 5'9" | SG Fargo North | 2022 ND |5’9 SG| Fargo North/Next Level Basketball Academy
He plays with loads of energy and enthusiasm. Gunner sees the floor well which aids him in being a distributor and facilitator. Schwartz can get into the underbelly of the defense and make plays for himself and his teammates. He has the potential to be a sparkplug for a very talented Fargo North team.
Sheldon Jones Sheldon Jones 6'0" | PF Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2022 State ND |6’0 PF| Four Winds-Minnewaukan
He is a physical player that will battle all game long. Jones does not take any plays off, he is all hustle. He will bring toughness to the 4 Winds team. For an inside player, Sheldon is a great passer. 4 Winds plays a tough schedule with some great frontcourt players. It will be fun to see him compete against all-star talent. Jones will be an important piece of the puzzle for the Indians this year.
Brock Woehl Brock Woehl 5'11" | SG Kindred | 2022 State ND |5’11 SG| Kindred
He is one of the better outside shooters for the Vikings. If Kindred wants to make another State Tournament run, they will need Woehl to hit triples. Brock is a solid guard with polished fundamentals. He is a hard-working defender for the Vikings.
Derrick Lobbo Derrick Lobbo 6'2" | SG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2022 ND |6’2 SG| West Fargo Sheyenne
He has a ton of potential! Lobbo is a great athlete with excellent hops. He was very unselfish in the game I watched him play this summer. Derrick looks to be a hard-nosed worker. He brings a ton of energy onto the court.
