So let’s take a look at where your favorite players will be next season and what you can expect to see from them!
One of the top players in the state in the 2023 class is on the move as high flying Guard Treymane Parker Treymane Parker 6'3" | CG OT Elite | 2023 #169 Nation GA will be headed to Vertical Prep to finish up his high school career over the next two years to team up with Mikey Williams and several other talented players. Parker spent his first two seasons at Cape Fear HS & New Life Christian where he helped lead the Colts to a State tournament appearance and the NLCA Monarchs to a NACA National Championship.
Voyager Academy Standout Guard Deondre Ross made his decision to attend Kentucky Christian University and has already made his way to campus to begin his college journey. During his time at Voyager he grew into a role of leadership where he helped his team make a run at the state tournament as he put together some nice scoring performances on numerous occasions.
The Word of God Christian Academy Holy Rams have added some firepower with the addition of 2023 Wings Jakwon Moore Jakwon Moore 6'5" | SF New Life Christian | 2023 State NC and Truman Claytor Truman Claytor 6'6" | SF New Life Christian | 2023 State NC . Moore has picked up several D1 offers during his time at Trinity Academy, displaying his strength and athletic ability during the high school and grassroots seasons. Claytor is a player that has taken his time to transform his physique which has helped him to be able to make a larger impact on games as well as being more of a player that can play on the perimeter.
Top Class of 2022 Prospect MJ Rice will finish his high school career out of state and now he has made the decision to finish his college career out of state, committing to become a Kansas Jayhawk. Rice has been dominant since the start of his career, playing his way into a top 10 spot in most national rankings. He’s a strong player that is an absolute bully inside the paint and now he’s perfecting his shot from three point land which will make him an even more difficult player to attempt to defend.
Moravian Prep Wing BJ Freeman BJ Freeman 6'6" | SF Moravian Prep | 2021 State NC will play out his first two years of college at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. Freeman picked up a nice amount of D1 interest during his high school career at WOG, Clayton and Moravian Prep so don’t be surprised to see those same programs extend offers to him again during his JC time. His scoring and rebounding abilities are what he was known for the most and we feel both of these skills will transition well for him to the next level.
