15) Logan Rhoades Logan Rhoades 6'2" | CG Mills Godwin | 2023 State VA | 6’2” | Blue Ridge (#36 Overall)
Rhoades announced he’ll transfer to Blue Ridge and the son of VCU Head Coach Mike Rhoades already made a splash there with his big time play in the high school live period. The 6’2” shooting guard is a hard worker and has a good IQ as you could guess, he’s a lights out shooter from deep and he’s really improved both in his ability to handle the basketball to create shots and on the defensive end too.
14) Kam Roberts | 6’6” | Hargrave (#35 Overall)
Roberts is arguably the top prospect in the Danville/Martinsville area and was a big reason Halifax made a run to the state semifinals last year, and rumor has it that he will be transferring to Hargrave this year. The 6’6” wing is a big and strong kid that can play multiple positions, he can score it from all three levels and he’s physical in the paint and when he gets downhill and is a good rebounder at his position too.
13) Kaleb Brown Kaleb Brown 6'3" | SG King's Fork | 2023 VA | 6’3” | King’s Fork (#34 Overall)
Brown has dealt with some injuries this summer but will come into his junior season at King’s Fork with the reputation of being one of the top shooters in the 757, but he also has more to his game. At 6’3” he isn’t the most athletic guy but he’s strong and is strong with the ball when he’s handling it, he is a good decision maker and has great instincts on both ends and is an above average defender on and off the ball.
12) MJ Smith MJ Smith 6'2" | SG Manor | 2023 VA | 6’2” | Manor (#30 Overall)
Smith is set to explode in the 757 this year as he’s one of the most lethal scorers and shooters in the area, and he looks like one of the best prospects in Portsmouth and should see some colleges get involved over the next few years. He’s a lethal shooter from deep with range well past the NBA line, he is a confident scorer from multiple levels and he’s improved over the past few years as a playmaker and ball handler as well.
11) Macon Emory Macon Emory 6'7" | SF Perkiomen School | 2024 State PA | 6’5” | Blue Ridge (#27 Overall)
Emory, who’s older brother Houston is a star big on Blue Ridge, made a name for himself during the high school live period where he earned his first offer from Radford due to his play. A wing with good size and a great skill set, Emory is a big time shooter from deep and he can get to spots in the midrange where he can use his size to shoot over defenders and he has a good IQ and can make plays for others as well.
10) Desmond Roberts Desmond Roberts 6'5" | SF St Anne’s Belfield | 2023 State VA | 6’5” | VES (#26 Overall)
Roberts is on the rise over the past year and is coming off of a big summer where he played for multiple Boo Williams teams, and he is chock full of potential moving forward. He has a great frame and is very strong allowing him to play in the post at his size, he’s a big time athlete who can play way above the rim and he’s versatile defensively and plays with a good motor, making him able to produce and make winning plays in a number of ways.
9) Leland Coleman Leland Coleman 6'6" | SF Trinity Episcopal | 2023 State VA | 6’6” | Trinity Episcopal (#23 Overall)
Unlike his bother Henry who is now at Texas A&M, Leland is a late bloomer who has grown 7 inches in the past few years and while he still needs to fill out he boasts a 7 foot wingspan and is a big time athlete as well. He’s a smart player who is defensive minded and can guard multiple positions, he has a budding skillset that is improving every day and his athleticism is as good as anyone. He’s also a high academic student who will probably be able to get into any school in the country.
8) Steven Stinson Steven Stinson 6'5" | SF John Marshall | 2023 State VA | 6’4” | John Marshall (#18 Overall)
Stinson had a great freshman year at Trinity Episcopal and missed out on a season last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, and he’s transferring to John Marshall where he’s already made a splash during the high school live period. A strong wing that can put it on the deck and get downhill, he’s able to score it through traffic and make plays for others in the paint, he’s an excellent rebounder at his position and he plays with toughness and a good motor too.
7) Jayden Harris Jayden Harris 6'8" | SG Potomac Va | 2023 State VA | 6’4” | Christ Chapel (#15 Overall)
The younger brother of UNC guard Ant Harris, Jayden is making a name for himself in the Northern VA area as one of the top two way wings in the DMV at his age. He’s a strong and athletic wing who can defend multiple positions and guard the other team’s best player, he can play on the ball or off the ball and can score it from multiple levels and he plays with a good IQ and a good motor on both ends as well.
6) Greg Jones Greg Jones 6'5" | SF Hayfield | 2023 State #258 Nation VA | 6’6” | Hayfield (#12 Overall)
Jones is as intriguing a prospect as you’ll find in the DMV area, as the 6’6” wing boasts good length and athleticism and is still growing and he has a lot of tools beyond his years. Jones is a big time athlete who can play above the rim and rebounds well for his position, but it’s really his playmaking ability on the ball at his size that separates him from a lot of other plays. He is an excellent passer and very unselfish with the ball in his hands, he can get downhill and put pressure on the defense and as he continues to polish his skillset he’ll be a guy to keep an eye on for sure.
