Updated 2022 rankings are now live
In this article:
After a long grassroots season where Division I coaches were finally allowed back in the gym for the first time since COVID paused the sports world, we updated our 2022 rankings on the website. There are now 164 players ranked on the website with some slight changes near the top. Seeing prospects compete against other elite competition from other areas of the country helped prove which players have improved the most. Chris Livingston Chris Livingston 6'6" | SF Oak Hill Academy | 2022 State #9 Nation VA stayed at the top spot, the 6’6 wing is one of the top prospects in the nation and is highly coveted by blue blood college programs and professional leagues straight out of high school. Sean Jones Sean Jones 5'10" | PG Gahanna | 2022 State #102 Nation OH stays at number two on our rankings. Jones had a great EYBL session where he finished in the top five in assists and steals. Sencire Harris Sencire Harris 6'4" | PG St. Vincent-St. Mary | 2022 State #79 Nation OH is at three, the STVM product had a great spring and summer for Wildcats Select where he gained numerous high major offers and eventually choose Illinois. Evan Mahaffey Evan Mahaffey 6'6" | SF Moeller | 2022 State #160 Nation OH comes in at number four after an injury has sidelined him. It seems like he’s fallen off the radar but I believe he’s one of the best defensive prospects in the state. Mike Sharavjamts Mike Sharavjamts 6'8" | PF ISA | 2022 State #179 Nation OH comes in at number five as he transfers in from Prolific Prep in California. I believe he’s a perfect modern forward with his passing and mobility. Sky is the limit for ‘Mongolian Mike’. Josiah Harris Josiah Harris 6'7" | PF Richmond Heights | 2022 State #243 Nation OH jumps up to number six after an eye-opening EYBL session. Harris was scoring against elite prospects from around the nation very efficiently. The West Virginia commit has improved a ton since I saw him for Richmond Heights in the winter. At number seven and the last prospect we’ll discuss in this article is Sage Tolentino Sage Tolentino 7'0" | C Hamilton | 2022 State OH . The seven footer who transferred to Hamilton from Hawaii switched his commitment from Auburn to Cincinnati this summer, staying close to where he’s playing high school basketball. Updating the rankings was a very long process and it is something I take very seriously. If you have any comments or questions, please don’t hesitate to direct message me on twitter @mikerothou
