Tyler Nickel Tyler Nickel 6'8" | SF East Rockingham | 2022 State #85 Nation VA | 6’7” WF | East Rockingham ’22
Nickel is a consensus nationally ranked prospect who has become a top of the board prospect for many schools, but has recently cut his list to Virginia Tech, Iowa, UNC, LSU and Butler. At 6’7” Nickel has terrific size as a shooter, and he’s able to make shots in a variety of ways including putting it on the deck and making tough shots from multiple levels and he can catch and shoot on kick-outs from deep as well. Where he really thrives as a shooter is on the move, as he can come off of screens or set his feet in transition on kick aheads and let it fly and is very consistent in those situations.
Carmelo Pacheco Carmelo Pacheco 6'4" | SG Spotswood | 2022 State VA | 6’4” WG | Spotswood ’22
One of the most underrated players in the state, Pacheco is a very talented shot maker with good size and good feel to go along with it. While he isn’t the most athletic guy he understands spacing and knows how to get open to get shot opportunities, he has deep range with ease and he is extremely consistent as he’ll usually be above the 40% mark and pushing 50 while also finding other ways to score the basketball.
Walker Andrews Walker Andrews 6'1" | CG Virginia Episcopal | 2022 State VA | 5’11” WG | VES ’22
Andrews has been one of the top shooters in the VISAA over the past few years, and he’s the type of shooter who can get hot and change a game quickly with his ability to rattle off multiple triples in a row. He has a quick release and effortless range out past the NBA line, he can play on and off the basketball and make shots in both scenarios and when he heats up he can take over quickly.
Ethan Millirons Ethan Millirons 6'0" | PG Auburn | 2022 State VA | 6’0” PG | Auburn ’22
The 2018-2019 VHSL Class 1 POY is one of the most well rounded lead guards in the state, and his ability to shoot the basketball is one of his biggest weapons on the offensive end. He’s great on the ball at coming off of ball screens or creating space with step backs, he can move off the ball and get shots within set plays run for him and he can get to spots in the midrange and hit pull-up jumpers as well.
Connor Tilley Connor Tilley 6'3" | SF Lord Botetourt | 2022 VA | 6’3” WF | Lord Botetourt ’22
Tilley may not be as well known as some of the other players on this list, but the wing from outside of Roanoke has had some of the best shooting performances I have seen all summer with VA Premier . The 6’3” wing knows what he does and plays to his game, he can get hot quickly and knock down multiple shots in a row and he has in the gym range and supreme confidence when he gets it going.
Macon Emory Macon Emory 6'7" | SF Perkiomen School | 2024 State PA | 6’5” WF | Blue Ridge ’23
Emory had a great June live period with Blue Ridge pulling in his first offers by playing well against very good competition, and he is set to have a breakout junior season for the Barons who are loaded yet again. The 6’5” wing has a good frame and the skill set to match as a knock down shooter, and while he can let it fly from deep and is very consistent in that he also has the ability to move on the basketball and get to spots and use his size to make shots from multiple levels.
