There are many players that share duties running the PG position across the state and some of these players might slide over and play off the ball but we have classified them as PG’s. Here is the list of some of the top PG’s in the state and in the Class of 2023.
6’2 Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn 6'2" | PG Montverde Academy | 2023 #42 Nation FL || RSL Academy ||
Dravyn is one of the most electric guards you will see. He is rated one of the best PG’s in the country and he is going to be healthy next year. He is already showing some major flashes of why he is such a sought out player. He is bouncy and he has a handle. He can score at all three-levels and create for himself. Shoot the ball well and can handle pressure the entire length of the floor.
6’3 Jordan Ross Jordan Ross 6'3" | PG Link Academy | 2023 #132 Nation MO || Pleasant Grove High School ||
Jordan is as smooth as they come. The lefty PG can really facilitate a team and get everyone involved. He does a good job of keeping his vision up to advance the ball. He has long arms that help him use his shifty style of play. Great looking shot from deep and he has increased his range. Jordan has picked up some nice offers from Utah State and University of San Fransisco. Should have a big year at PG for PG.
6’0 Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT || Cyprus High School ||
It was just a matter of time before the first offer fell because Quentin was playing at an extremely high level all of Spring and Summer. With a few Division 1 offers under his belt Quentin has solidified himself as one of the best scorers in the state regardless of class or position. He often shows that he has the ball on a string with the various moves he has and uses against pressure. When he doesn’t have pressure he keeps it simple.
6’5 Trey Evans Trey Evans 6'5" | PG RSL Academy | 2023 State UT || RSL Academy ||
Trey looks to take a lead this year as he battled injuries last season. Trey picked up an offer from Chaminade (Hawaii) and is also on the top priority list for Hawaii Pacific University. Trey is great on and off the ball. He moves well without the ball relocating and not waisting time simply floating out in the wing or waiting in the corner when the ball is not in his hands.
