They have proven to not only develop players but they have also become a school that other top prospects across the country are willing to relocate to in order to play a national schedule and increase their stock value. This year’s 2022’s are no different as they have a player that has developed from within and a few players that have come over to help the Tigers and themselves.
6’9 Keba Keita Keba Keita 6'9" | C Wasatch Academy | 2022 State #157 Nation UT || Wasatch Academy ||
Keba has been waiting his turn to showcase all the work he has been putting in. he landed in Utah with major raw talent and athleticism. Keba is a rim protector that alters almost every shot that comes his way. His rotation skills off the ball have really improved as he is coming in with better angles to not only protect the rim and get blocks but also taken away a dump downs to his man. When it comes to clearing the boards off the glass he is elite on both ends of the floor. Keba is still raw but he has a lot of promise. Running the floor has been a big improvement as he is now running the floor to specific areas that not only open up lanes for himself but others as well. Great LM prospect.
6’1 Koren Johnson || Wasatch Academy ||
Koren is a highly skilled PG that can run a team. He can be on the ball or off the ball depending on situation. The Seattle native doesn’t come over to the tigers empty handed because he has multiple D1 offers from many schools across the country. Koren has a super tight handle, but the most impressive aspect of his game is his ability to create. You have all heard of three-level scorers, well Koren is that but he can also create his own shot at all three-levels as well. He is fun to watch and he will continue the tradition of keep the tigers electric and fun to watch at a high level.
6’5 Roddy Gayle Jr. || Wasatch Academy ||
Roddy is a walking bucket. The kid can make shots from anywhere and he has some crazy range. He knows how to get to his spot and get his feet set. He attacks the rim but his shot opens it all up for him. While Roddy is committed to Ohio State he is still going to be courted as things can change in a hurry. He will provide the tigers with some much needed shooting.
6’7 Chris Brunch || Wasatch Academy ||
Chris made his announcement to head to Wasatch Academy earlier this week and he is going to fit in well and in that wing position that is much needed playing against the high level programs. Chris has offers from a few midwest schools as well as some schools in the south and east. Look for the west coast schools to start to get involved quickly. With a recent visit to Syracuse Chris is a big time scorer.
