Miller Long 6’2″ College Heights Christian: The 2022 guard was one of the impressive scoring threats that I watched at the camp. He is an excellent shooter from 3-point range, but he is also a potent all-around scoring threat who plays the game at his own pace. The game slows down for him very well. He also knows how to move without the basketball and make the right reads to get himself open for scoring opportunities.
Bryce Hambelton 6’3″ Gainesville: The robust 2022 power forward was an offensive force in the paint throughout the showcase. He was around the 20-point mark in all of his games and he did it with brute force and a delicate shooting touch around the rim. He made tough catches in traffic, established great post position and finished virtually every shot in close. He had a nice combination of physical toughness and good fundamentals inside.
Luke Bushey Luke Bushey 6'4" | SF Dadeville | 2023 State MO 6’4″ Dadeville: A 2023 small forward who is long and rangy with a versatile skill set. He had a quick first step to the basket and a long stride that could get him from Point A to Point B in a short amount of time. He could also step out and knock down perimeter shots. He was very comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter.
Noah Engleman 6’4″ Nixa: A 2022 wing player with good length and versatility on the perimeter. He was very good on cuts as he scored well on his off the ball movement. He could get into the lane to score on a runner and he made his share of open 3-pointers during the event.
Brock Franklin 5’9″ Neosho: A high-energy 2023 point guard who played with good pace while also having a good feel for the game. He distributed the ball well and I was especially impressed with how he was able to feed the ball into the low post, which is a lost art. He also had a very effective stop and pop jumper from the mid-range area. Blake Shanks 5’11” Willard:
Brendyn Paulsen 6’2″ Southwest: A 2024 forward who played a very solid game in the low post. Despite being undersized, he had some strong moves in the paint and some good footwork to get him over. His drop step move was very effective. He also did a good job of passing out of the low post to open shooters.
Isaiah Green 6’0″ Neosho: A 2023 point guard who played with a lot of energy and he also knew how to get his team organized with his steady ball handling and passing. He was very good with the dribble penetration and kick-outs to open teammates. He also played with a lot of activity on the defensive end.
Blake Shanks 5’11” Willard: A 2022 combo guard who competed hard and made several plays with good hustle. If you leave him open, he would hit those high-arching 3-pointers from long distance. He was especially effective on the Corner 3.
Joseph Adams 5’10” Webb City: A 2023 guard who put in a good effort on the defensive end. He got after loose balls to get extra possessions for his team. He also knocked down the open 3-pointer.
