Continue ReadingAfter taking a look at some of the best players from bigger schools in southern Idaho, it is now time to highlight a few great players from smaller schools located in southern Idaho. Many teams in this area have the advantage of being able to play non-conference or summer games against the bigger local schools in order to help them prepare for their upcoming seasons. As a result, a lot of these programs that are closer to the capital city see great success at the state tournaments in March. Joe Reiber Joe Reiber 6'2" | SG Melba | 2022 State ID , Melba: Joe has had a great career at Melba and he will look to polish off his prep career with a terrific final season. Joe can do it all for Melba and he is easily one of the top shooters in the state at any level. Reiber can score at all three levels and he has been working during the offseason to make sure that he becomes an even more consistent shooter who deserves the toughest defender to guard him during each game. Watch for Joe to have a great 2021-22 season.
Lakota Steele Lakota Steele 6'4" | SF Cole Valley Christian | 2022 State ID , Cole Valley Christian: Lakota will look to help Cole Valley Christian reach new heights next season as he takes control of the team and looks to be a leader in many ways both on and off of the court. Lakota has been working hard in the offseason to improve his handles and ability to stretch the floor even more. At 6’4″, Steele can play inside or outside and expanding his skills will make him even more difficult to guard. Watch for Lakota’s senior season to be a great opportunity to prove his potential.
Trenton Fisher Trenton Fisher 5'11" | SG Homedale | 2023 State ID , Homedale: Trenton has a great feeling for the game and plays at a high level whenever he is on the court. He plays his hardest on both ends of the floor and does not back down from anyone that he plays against. Fisher can guard anyone on the court and he does a great job of getting physical against bigger players in order to not be overpowered. Fisher has been working to increase his range and has done a great job of staying in the gym to make great strides.
