Located deep in the roaming hills and among potato, mint, barley, wheat, or any other type of field, there is always a gym to be found with a player inside, practicing their skills no matter what time it may be. Here, basketball is seemingly grown right alongside the crops and the hard work of working a field reflects beautifully in the work needed to excel on the court. Clay Silva Clay Silva 5'10" | SG Lighthouse Christian | 2022 State ID , Lighthouse Christian: Silva is a key part of a thriving Lighthouse Christian program that will look to find success again during the upcoming season. Clay is one of the best shooters in the state and his guard skills allow him to find his shot off of the dribble or in catch and shoot situations. His hands and feet are always ready to catch and release whenever given the opportunity and he has great footwork as well. This upcoming season, Clay will look to make one final push for a state championship in March.
Jeff Shaw Jeff Shaw 5'10" | SG Dietrich | 2022 State ID , Dietrich: Shaw is looking to have a breakout senior season for Dietrich during the 2021-22 season. From outside, Shaw has been working to make his shooting more consistent in order to draw defenders out further on the perimeter. At the rim, Jeff is working to make sure that he can finish through contact on a regular basis in order to draw fouls and get easy points at the free throw line. Watch for Jeff to make big strides as he heads into his senior season of basketball at the high school level.
Cooper Fife Cooper Fife 6'0" | PG Wood River | 2024 State ID , Wood River: Fife had a great freshmen season and is looking to make a big impact during the next season of basketball. He is a tough-nosed point guard who has been working hard this summer to get bigger, faster, and stronger to help him be even more of a threat on the floor. Watch for Cooper to help Wood River return to their winning ways in the 2021-22 season of play.
