Sacred Hoops 16U plays the game the right way and they are a well-coached squad. They went undefeated on day 1. All of these guys will be impact players once they get back to their high school teams. This is an excellent group of ballers from SD and IA.

Roster
6’4 AJ Akot AJ Akot 6'4" | SF Sioux Falls Washington | 2023 State SD || O’gorman ||
An elite athlete and playmaker. AJ has length and size to go along with scary hops, speed, quickness, and skills. Akot is a dynamic player with a bright future.
5’11 Ayden Klein Ayden Klein 5'11" | SG MOC-Floyd Valley | 2023 State IA || MOC-Floyd Valley ||
A quick guard and a smart cutter. Klein is a precision passer. I watched him thread the needle multiple times. Ayden can also finish through contact, this was evident on a difficult AND-1 finish.
6’2 Brock Fisher || Boyden-Hull ||
A strong kid that sprints the floor hard. Fisher looks to be strong and confident from the FT-line. I like his hustle, unselfishness, and overall effort.
6’1 Cole Peterson Cole Peterson 6'2" | PG Sioux Falls Washington | 2023 State SD || Washington ||
A team player who does the little things correctly. Peterson made an awesome and tough finish on a double-clutch layup with a defender on him. This showed his laser focus, concentration, and balance.
6’2 Gavin Benck Gavin Benck 6'2" | PF Deuel | 2023 State SD || Deuel ||
He looked good on the defensive end. Benck contested many shots and he was able to get his hands on a few. Gavin was unselfish on offense and he was not afraid to make the extra pass.
6’0 Matt Eng Matt Eng 6'0" | PG O’gorman | 2023 State SD || O’gorman ||
A shooter, ball-handler, creator, and team player. His ball skills are off the charts. Matt can control the tempo and run the show for this tough Sacred hoops team.
6’5 Reis Kirschenman Reis Kirschenman 6'5" | C Tea Area | 2023 State SD || Tea Area ||
A big, strong, and physical forward. Reis is great at rebounding, especially at snagging O-boards. His effort gives Sacred Hoops many second chances on the offensive end.
6’5 Tate VanOtterloo || Beresford ||
He is long, athletic, and versatile. Tate can finish with both hands at the basket and score in traffic. He is a mismatch for almost everyone. His length and mobility allow him to be a problematic defender.
6’2 Tryg Auten Tryg Auten 5'10" | PG SF Washington | 2023 SD || Washington ||
He can shoot it from beyond the arc. I like his tight shooting form that leaves little chance for error. Auten has no wasted movement in his shot release. He is a fast player going north and south.
6’3 Zharic Sheppard Zharic Sheppard 6'5" | SF Sioux Falls Washington | 2023 State SD || Beresford ||
This lefty is a solid free-throw shooter. He moves well on defense inside and out. I witnessed a few nice close-outs from him, which is rare sometimes in AAU ball. He protects the rim and walls up without fouling.
