I got a hands-on look at all of these high-level athletes. Look for their stock to continue to rise after some very impressive performances!
Clyde George Jr 2023- Comeaux High School
Clyde is an intelligent combo guard who can pass his teammates open with ease. He is a strong finisher at the rim but needs work with his off-hand. He has a nice one-dribble pull-up he can get to as well. At times he can be overly aggressive and dribble into trouble. He can pass out of bad situations better than most however so it does not get him into too much trouble, but I would like to see him work on slowing the game down and playing at his own pace.
Gavin Richardson Gavin Richardson 5'8" | SG Ascension Catholic | 2023 State LA 2023- Ascension Catholic High
Gavin is a hard-working combo guard, he has the ability to pick up opponents the length of the floor and does well when actively trying to force defenders one way. He is a great secondary defender who knows how to attack angles against a driving player without giving up pass-out opportunities to his man. He has active hands that always seem to cause turnovers and bad shots. He is a solid jump shoot who is comfortable shooting off the dribble in the midrange. I would like to see him work on his set jumper and tightening up his mechanics when he shoots.
Brady Alexander Brady Alexander 6'0" | CG Hornbeck | 2023 State LA 2023- Hornbeck High School
Brady is a sharpshooting combo guard who is also a great decision-maker. He is a good player off the pick and roll and pin downs. His decision-making and awareness also translate well to the defensive side of the ball as well. His active hands forced turnovers and bad looks for his opponents. He is a strong defender who is not afraid to switch with players 1-3. I would like to see him work on his ability to finish at the rim with either hand and a floater he can add to easily score over bigs coming over.
Dennis Hebert 2023- Catholic BR High School
Dennis is an intelligent guard with the ball in his hands, he makes all the right reads and can pass his teammates open. He is a strong finisher and attacker at the rim which draws plenty of attention and creates lots of open looks for his teammates. He can shoot it off the bounce as well, but I would like to see him work on his ability to score in the midrange.
