Max Alexander Max Alexander 6'0" | PG Next Level Prep | 2022 KS , 6-foot guard, 2022, Next Level Prep (pictured):
Alexander doesn’t have much more to prove to fans of Kansas high school basketball, but he’s still working hard to show his stock to colleges. He worked hard for Team Buddy Buckets of Oklahoma, then spent the last part of the summer with TBB Kansas. He continues to get stronger and develop his athleticism as well as hone his craft.
Howard Johnson Howard Johnson 6'0" | SG Junction City | 2022 State KS , 6-foot-1 guard, 2022, Junction City HS:
Johnson really got on some people’s radar during late summer. He scored at a high clip and demonstrated the ability to handle the ball, run the offense, and defend at an elite level. He showed off his talent on the boards too, proving a pretty well-rounded and dynamic guard.
Michael Kates Michael Kates 5'9" | PG Maize South | 2024 State KS , 5-foot-10 guard, 2024, Wichita Collegiate HS:
With Collegiate stats a little tough to find, Kates stayed a little under the radar last school season. But he exploded this summer and got high praise from Prep Hoops scouts outside of Kansas at some least summer tournaments. His combination of attacking ability and accurate perimeter shot will be even sharper this school season thanks to the summer development.
Trevor Mcbride Trevor Mcbride 6'2" | CG Basehor Linwood | 2022 State KS , 6-foot-2 guard, 2022, Basehor-Linwood:
McBride didn’t so much finish strong, as just stay on the upswing all offseason. He was great from deep, showed a lot of intelligence running the show, and defended at a high level too. He will be ready to build on his 5A honorable mention showing last year.
Geremiah Moore Geremiah Moore 5'9" | CG West | 2022 State KS , 5-foot-9 guard, 2022, Wichita West HS:
Moore drew high praise for his ability to quarterback a team at the late-summer MAYB Nationals. Moore is a powerful and rugged point man who can shoot it, but who is best known for running the show and dishing the ball to open teammates.
