The event, hosted by recruiting legend Dinos Trigonis, features 4 teams comprising of some of the best H.S talent from every region of the country. Last year the South took home the crown, with MVP honors going to current Auburn Freshmen, Jabari Smith. This year, the star-studded event takes place at Amplus Academy in Las Vegas and features several players with local ties. In this article, we take a look at some of the local participants in this event.
Milos Uzan 6’4” 2022 Dream City Christian (AZ) – The former Desert Pines Star will be continuing his career at Dream City Christian. He was a monster last year on the Grind session with Prolific. He improved his frame, and athleticism a great deal. In a game like this, he’ll hand out some dimes, but keep an eye out for his sneaky bounce.
Collin Chandler Collin Chandler 6'5" | CG Farmington | 2022 State #28 Nation UT 6’4” Farmington 2022 (#1PHU 2022) – Chandler has rocketed up the National Rankings. The #1 player in Utah has a track record of showing out in Pangos events. His playmaking and R&J ability should make him one of the most entertaining players, and a potential MVP candidate.
Joshua Jefferson Joshua Jefferson 6'8" | PF Liberty | 2022 State #158 Nation NV 6’8” Liberty 2022 (#1PHN 2022) – It will be fun to see the top-ranked player in Nevada take the floor. I’m interested in seeing if he flashes his traditional back to the basket skills or more of his newfound wing ability.
Jaxon Kohler 6’8” 2022 SoCal Academy – Kohler has ties to Nevada and Utah, having played at both Coronado and AF. The uber skilled 4 Man used the Summer to rack up a slue of power 5 offers. Jaxon has Washington, Iowa and Kansas as some of several suitors for his services.
Sebastian Mack Sebastian Mack 6'4" | CG Coronado | 2023 State #58 Nation NV 6’3 SG Durango 2023 (#1PHN 2023) – Mack is an electfying scorer, and if he gets hot he can change the scoreboard in an instant. He plays with insane confidence, and I’m 100% sure he will be ready to let it fly in this setting. The scoring guard is a darkhorse MVP canidate.
Osiris Grady Osiris Grady 6'7" | PF Coronado | 2023 #195 Nation UT 6’8 PF Coronado 2023 (#2PHN 2023) – I can’t wait to see Grady. The 4 man has had an explosive summer, making him one of the most attractive prospects on the West Coast. While listed as a power forward, he has showed good ball skills while transitioning down to the wing.
Roddy Gayle Roddy Gayle 6'4" | SG Wasatch Academy | 2022 State #70 Nation UT 6’5 Wasatch Academy 2022 (#2PHU 2022) – This will be my first look at Gayle. The Ohio State commit is an professional scorer, with an electrying pull up game. He will be filling up the nets for Wasatch Academy this season.
