There were 2 offers announced that I found incredibly interesting and really drew my attention. Let’s take a look at those.
Joe Francis Joe Francis 6'4" | SG Adrian | 2022 State MI announces an offer from Adrian College on August 23.
Francis is an athletic shooting guard that stars at Adrian High School. The senior to be has unlimited range and can use some wiggle to get to the rim and finish. Francis may be a star, but he’s a willing team first type of player as well. First, let’s start with the fact that he’s probably one of the better players to ever come from Adrian. Not just that, but he’s a well liked young man with an impeccable reputation. That being said, Joe Francis Joe Francis 6'4" | SG Adrian | 2022 State MI has the makings of a local legend. And there is why I love this offer from Coach Kaiser and the Adrian College staff. They are making a strong play to keep the young man the community loves, at home so they can see him thrive in college first hand.
Ty Rodgers Ty Rodgers 6'6" | SF Grand Blanc | 2022 #34 Nation IN announces an offer from the University of Memphis on August 23.
Ty Rodgers Ty Rodgers 6'6" | SF Grand Blanc | 2022 #34 Nation IN may be a star, but he has built his reputation, and following, based on the fact that he’s a grinder. He’s willing to do the little things and play any role that his team needs. Rodgers can guard the other team’s top offensive threat with success and he’ll hit the floor for a loose ball in the process. He’s a terrific finisher in the open floor and can play at a very fast pace. So, what makes this offer so interesting to me other than the big name status? Memphis recently hired Rasheed Wallace as an assistant coach. Was there a more intense and selfless grinder in the NBA than Rasheed Wallace? I can see a little bit of Wallace in Rodgers, and Rodgers in Wallace.
