However, that isn’t an excuse to still not get in the gym when we can. On Sunday afternoon I made the trip over to Terre Haute for the Indiana State Elite Camp. Here are some of the top performers from the event. Part one of this post went up immediately following the camp Sunday evening.
Casey Kaelin Casey Kaelin 6'2" | SG Providence | 2023 State IN (Providence H.S. 2023)
Kaelin is a 6’2″ combo guard that can really shoot it from three-point range. This was one of my first looks at the prospect from Providence High School and I came away very impressed. Look for him to break into the Class of 2023 updated rankings that will be dropping on Prep Hoops Indiana Monday evening! Kaelin is very skilled with the ball in his hands and showcased the ability to score it from all three levels.
Jack Moulton (South Vermillion H.S. 2024)
Moulton finished very well around the basket with both hands all day long at the Indiana Stat Elite Camp. He is a 6’3″ physical forward that is effective scoring it inside. Good footwork and hands in the paint. As he develops more physically and gets a little more athletic he will just become that much better of an interior scorer.
Avery Saunders (Southmont H.S. 2022)
This guy really turned some heads on Sunday afternoon at Indiana State. Saunders is 6’4″-6’5″ and extremely athletic. He was dunking everything showing off his explosive leaping ability all day long. Saunders can rebound on both ends of the floor and has some intriguing skills because of that athleticism. Would be a good D3 4-man. It isn’t often that I see a legitimate prospect in the senior class that I simply hadn’t seen before.
Zeke Tanoos Zeke Tanoos 6'4" | SG West Vigo | 2024 State IN (West Vigo H.S. 2024)
Tanoos really stood out as a skilled guard that shot it well throughout the day. At 6’3″ he has good size on the wing which allows him to elevate up and get his smooth jump shot off over the defense. There is a lot to like about his overall offensive game. He already had a productive freshman season and should really breakout this winter.
Austin Willoughby Austin Willoughby 6'3" | SF Chca | 2023 State IN (Whiteland H.S. 2023)
This marks back-to-back weekends that I’ve been impressed with the physical wing/forward from Whiteland. Willoughby played well at the UIndy Elite Camp and kept up the strong play at Indiana State. The 6’4″ slasher is very strong, plays with an outstanding motor, and is versatile on both ends of the floor. Expect to see him put together a good junior season.
