Jackson possesses the ability to create his own shot already at his age. Shoots the leather off the basketball; Volleyball range with consistency. There is an emphasis on Flakus, Chappell, Miller, and McCarthy already. I would believe it is an oversight about him being on the floor. Not sure why already having had a 38 point game last year as a freshman. He is a willing defender with a High-IQ. His shot selection is good as well. You can tell he has a good understanding of the game. Jackson is a solid lock for a big sophomore season for the Eagles. We must remember he led the city in 3 point shooting as well.
Darren Smith l 5’10 G l Riverside
Here is another kid that can shoot consistently from the perimeter. He is crafty around the rim. Valuable minutes last year on varsity. Able to learn from talent from last year as well as the deep playoff push. Coming off a strong summer, I believe that his sophomore campaign will be successful. This Riverside team has some talented underclassmen. Smith is a kid to watch next season for the Generals.
Freddy-Salam Sylla l 6’6 G/F l Potter’s House
He is a point forward and has the versatility to be effective on both ends of the court. Sylla can defend multiple positions. He will be a matchup nightmare in a year or two once he puts it all together. His athleticism is already there; The handle is well on the way too. Sylla is a hybrid talent that can affect the game in multiple ways with his versatility.
Dawson Norman l 5’11 G l Baker County
Norman is an energetic kid that exhibits heart and hustle. He does a lot of his damage by facilitating the offense. Great passer that looks to keep the team engaged and involved at all times. I believe he excels in the open court. He is an underrated defender with good timing for steals.
Tong-Tong l 6’3 F l Bishop Kenny
Exceptional defender and rebounder at a young age. Good timing for blocking shots and a very well-coached kid. Exhibits good body language and is an excellent team player. The offense will come as he continues to grow. Most of his work comes on the inside. Has the ability to knock down a perimeter shot if left open. He is another one that does a lot not listed on the stat sheet.
