Pierce Arenz Pierce Arenz 5'10" | PG Kiel | 2024 State WI – 2024 – G – Wisconsin Blizzard
Arenz can flat out go on the ball. He’s a prospect that plays fast, but is never in a hurry and puts a ton of pressure on a defense with his aggressive, probing style. The lefty can fill it up offensively, but is also cognizant of where his teammates are and gets them involved. Arenz has a pretty stroke and is a sharpshooter both on an off the ball. Might be undersized, but certainly gets his share of buckets at the rim and can finish with either hand. Arenz also finished with a whopping nine assists in Sunday’s win over the Iowa Mavericks.
Darius Chestnut – 2023 – SG – Wisconsin Starz
The Starz fell to Minnesota Bounce, but liked some of the things Chestnut did on Sunday. The 6-foot guard is a strong kid that can muscle his way to the hole. Left some points on the board around the rim, but also had some very tough finishes against contact and just kept attacking all game long. A two-way player, Chestnut plays sound, physical defense as well. In a game full of momentum swings and big runs, thought Chestnut stayed consistent, poised, and played the game, not the score/situation.
Brady Corso Brady Corso 6'2" | SG Neenah | 2024 State WI – 2024 – SG – Wisconsin Blizzard
Corso had 17 points, including five 3-pointers in a 15U quarterfinal win over the Iowa Mavericks. The Neenah product works well off the ball and is willing to run through various screens before he finds the shot he wants. Corso has been a very consistent shooter throughout the spring/summer. Once he catches in rhythm, Corso really doesn’t get fazed by a strong close out or a hand in his face. Defenders just can’t let him get loose or catch in rhythm where he’s able to square his shoulders and step into the shot, or it’s going to be a long day.
Caiden Lecce Caiden Lecce 6'0" | CG Minneapolis Southwest | 2022 State WI – 2022 – G – D.F. Elite
A kid that plays with a lot of confidence and swagger, Lecce made his 21 point effort against Real Phenom look easy. Eventually the defense adjusted and swarmed him and without the help of Jalen Carlino Jalen Carlino 6'0" | PG Kenosha Bradford | 2022 State WI , D.F. Elite ran out of gas at the end, but Lecce was putting on a show. One of the biggest stock boosters of the travel season, Lecce kind of came out of nowhere. A skilled, high volume scorer that can put up big numbers offensively, Lecce is a dangerous shooter and a crafty finisher around the rim. He’s got the ability to put a team on his back offensively. The lefty has a knack for creating and making difficult shots. Lecce appears to be a nice small school pickup as someone who can be a go-to scorer at that level.
Quinton Lomack Quinton Lomack 6'1" | CG Madison La Follette | 2024 WI – 2024 – PG – Power 5
Lomack is a big guard that gets downhill and uses his body well to finish at the rim. The 6-foot-2 sophomore has strong, explosive handles for his size and lives in the paint. Jumper needs some work, but Lomack has shot creating ability on the ball. A physically advanced prospect, Lomack can take a shot at the rim and power through contact. Does tend to take too many chances with the basketball right now, but can definitely see the floor at a higher level and make passes a lot of players his age aren’t capable of.
Joe Stewart Joe Stewart 5'11" | SG Brookfield East | 2023 State WI – 2023 – SG – Power 5
Think this is a real sleeper in the Greater Metro Conference, even with all the talent that Brookfield East has back. Stewart showed some flashes as a sophomore last year and it looks like he’s going to take a big step this winter. Might not look the part, but Stewart is a killer offensively and is also sneaky athletic. He can light it up from deep and is also quite quick off the bounce, able to beat his man and shot blockers to the rim. You see a noticeable killer instinct with Stewart as well. When he’s got it going offensively, he’s in attack mode and doesn’t take his foot off the gas pedal.
