Jalen Wilson– 5’11″ wing- South Dakota Network Coach P
Jalen is an athletic wing who is undeniably gifted on the offensive end. He is a three-level scorer who really does it all for his team’s offense. Although he might not be the primary ball-handler on his squad that does not take away from his ability to keep the ball on a string. From the games I watched him play he was able to get easy baskets with hard cuts and effective movement away from the ball. The game appears to come rather easy to Jalen, he gets what he wants, where he wants it. He often found himself with wide-open layups just by reading and reacting to his teammates. His ability to rebound the basketball as an undersized wing is a testament to his knack for the ball and pure athleticism. Jalen scored from everywhere on the floor on Sunday as he helped his team to the Gold Championship.
Zashon Rich– 6’0″ wing- Team RISE Up
Zashon is a crafty player who uses elusive ball moves to get to his spots. He’s a lefty who plays with a fantastic pace and appears very poised on the court. On Sunday Zashon displayed his ball-handling and playmaking abilities to bring his team to the Gold Championship game. Zashon is a very level-headed player as well, this is a quality that is fleeting in today’s game. He was a reliable scorer for his team who finishes well at the cup. It appears getting to the basket and finding the open man or getting a fancy bucket of his own is his bread and butter. His ability to maneuver around bigger defenders and his toughness will definitely keep him in the game for a long time.
Henry Tschetter Henry Tschetter 6'3" | SG Stewartville | 2024 State MN – 5’10″ guard- Minnesota Heat Bohrer
Henry did a wonderful job pushing the tempo for his team. His hard-nosed defense and IQ stand out. Henry is a pest of a defender, he’s in your face and on your hip. He is constantly bothering ball-handlers. In crunch time in his game against South Dakota Network Sean, Henry had a few momentum-shifting steals that led to fastbreak points and/or free throws. When he gets to the rim it’s poetry in motion, finishes with both hands, and always knows where his man is. Henry possesses the ability to stroke it from the perimeter as well and he did just that on Sunday. His craftiness at the rim is essential as another undersized guy. He has absolutely no problem getting to the paint, once he gets there he uses an array of moves to get what he wants around the big men coming to help. Henry is another guy who has a lot of upside.
Emmaureon Rulford– 5’9″ guard- South Dakota Network Coach P
Emmaureon is another guy who did it all on the offensive end for South Dakota Network. From ankle breakers to flashy passes, Rulford is must-see TV. He is an incredibly skilled facilitator and playmaker. His scrappiness on the defensive end oftentimes leads to buckets for himself and his teammates. Emmaureon made huge plays for South Dakota Network in the Gold Championship game, he played a crucial role in that win. He plays very fast but he is always in control and has unmatched court awareness. His hang time at the rim is top tier, Rulford finishes through traffic like it isn’t even there, he is completely unphased. He is an incredibly hard worker who can take on any challenge and this was shown on Sunday.
Logan Wroe– 6’1″ wing- Waterloo Salvation
Logan is a smooth perimeter threat who plays the game the right way. He is always looking for the open man and it seems like he sees things happen before anyone else, he’s one step ahead. Logan has a pretty-looking jump shot and uses it well, he is not a guy you leave open. Logan is a very smart player and I really picked up on this during his game against Team RISE Up. He is especially smart on the defensive end. Active hands, help defense, and correct positioning lead to a handful of steals. Logan does a good job of getting his team involved, you can tell he is the ultimate team player and competitor. Another thing Wroe does well is talk, he used his voice to direct traffic on the defensive end which is something every teammate can appreciate. Logan is a very complete player.
