The Georgian Court camp is a prime example of that as players from around the area made plays throughout the day. Here are the top stock risers from the Georgian Court camp.
Ben Reichert Ben Reichert 6'10" | PF Pequannock | 2022 State NJ , 6’10 PF Pequannock 2022
Reichert had a monster day at the Georgian Court camp as he was able to show his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. The 6’10 big man ran the floor hard, which set himself up for easy dunks in transition. Reichert did more than just dunk as he has a nice touch around the basket and made good passes in the half court. He used his length to be disruptive on the defensive end and attacked the glass on both ends. Reichert is a hard-working big man who will only get better over time.
Shawn Reckley Shawn Reckley 6'3" | SG Hackensack | 2022 State NJ , 6’2 SG Hackensack 2022
Reckley put on an offensive display at the camp as he was able to score in a variety of ways. The 6’2 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and shot the ball with confidence from distance. Reckley is more than just a shooter as he put the ball on the floor and finished nicely around the basket. He pushed the ball well in transition and made several nice passes throughout the course of the day. Reckley picked up an offer from Georgian Court for his performance at the camp and could see more offers come his way if he keeps up his play.
Brandon Dean, 5’10 PG South Plainfield 2023
Dean was one of the few 2023 prospects in attendance, but that did not stop him from making an impact throughout the day. The 5’10 guard played with composure on the ball and did not get rattled by on-ball pressure. Dean was able to get to his spot on the floor with consistency during the game sessions and has a nice mid-range pull-up. He distributed the ball nicely and moved his feet well on the defensive end. Dean has two years of varsity basketball left before he goes to college, meaning his stock can only go up with more performances like that.
Justin Soranno Justin Soranno 6'6" | SF Central Regional | 2022 State NJ , 6’6 SF/PF Central Regional 2022
Soranno stood out at the Georgian Court camp as he played with a motor that did not stop. The 6’6 forward ran the floor hard, which set himself up for easy baskets. Soranno showed off a nice release on his jumper and knocked down several jumpers in the mid-range. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor and worked hard on the defensive end.
Ajani Rasbury, 6’2 SG Dwight Englewood 2022
Rasbury had a strong performance at the Georgian Court camp as he showed off his versatile skillset. The 6’2 guard brought the ball up the court during the game sessions and showed a good feel for the offense. Rasbury made several beautiful passes in transition as he was able to hit his teammates in stride for layups. He moved his feet well on the defensive end and made plays in the lane. Rasbury’s combination of toughness and skill is something that will help his game as the year progresses.
