Let’s look into it….
2023 Carl Cherenfant Carl Cherenfant 6'4" | CG Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian | 2023 State #68 Nation FL might be the winner this summer. The 6-foot-4 guard has stockpiled offers and jumped into the top 100 nationally in his class. Cherenfant is improved as a shooter and playmaking guard. He can really score when he gets downhill. Moreover, he has ideal size in the backcourt and make plays at the rim. Cherenfant has shown all of this and more playing for Georgia Stars EYBL. He holds offers from LSU, South Florida, Western Kentucky, Iona, Memphis, and Appalachian State. Cherenfant should have a huge year for Calvary Christian Academy.
2022 Justin Abson Justin Abson 6'9" | PF North Broward Prep | 2022 State #230 Nation FL is a name you can’t leave off this list. It seems like the 6-foot-9 forward has picked up every low to mid-major offer in the country. I count 14 schools vying for his services. At roughly 240 pounds, Abson looks ready to tackle his college career. I love his work on the defensive end and scoring ability in the post. Abson is also a nice passer in the frontcourt. He has dominated for the NightRydas.
2022 Anquan Boldin Jr Anquan Boldin Jr 6'5" | CG IMG Academy | 2023 FL . is only beginning to skyrocket. There is no doubt that his circuit play has elevated his stock. I think he is showing his ability as an everyday guard. Any sort of consistency as a shooter will make him impossible to defend. Boldin Jr. is just too quick and athletic. I think you will see his on-ball defense reflect this as well. He is going to rack up steals and put pressure on his opponent. Overall, Boldin Jr. is going to be a focal point for St. Andrew’s. That should allow college scouts to really evaluate him.
2022 Deshawn Jean-Charles Deshawn Jean-Charles 6'6" | PF West Oaks | 2022 State FL should be one of the better wings in Broward County. His game appears to be heading to another level. Jean-Charles already had the size, but his athleticism keeps getting better. Furthermore, he continues to become a multi-dimensional scorer. Playing him outside will be difficult because of his quickness. Playing him inside will be tough because of his length and added muscle. Jean-Charles will pile up offensive rebounds because of his frame. He will be able to get to his spot before his defender can react. On the defensive side, Jean-Charles will be able to defend multiple positions. I think he is a lock to guard the 1-3. Southern University is the latest to offer him.
2023 Nate Sasser Nate Sasser 6'6" | SG Suncoast | 2023 State #207 Nation FL should be the focus up in Palm Beach County. I don’t see many players stopping him on the offensive end. Sasser is 6-foot-6 and only adding weight. He can play guard and be a mismatch at small forward. His quickness at the three will cause headaches for defenders. Moreover, his stride and ability to score in transition will be tough to stop. Having Sasser’s size coming at you will cause a problem. In addition, he will tack on second chance points with his length around the glass. Six to eight rebounds a night should be common. He holds offers from Florida Gulf Coast and USF.
