Gradey Dick Gradey Dick 6'7" | SF Sunrise Christian (KS) | 2022 State #21 Nation KS , 6-foot-7 forward, 2022, Sunrise (pictured)
Talk about finishing the summer strong, this guy has continued his conquest all the way into late August. Reports are that Dick is holding his own with the USA FIBA 3 on 3 team at the World Cup in Hungary. This after dominating with Run GMC. He is just too long, too explosive and to skilled
Andrell Burton Andrell Burton 6'4" | SG Campus | 2024 State #213 Nation KS , 6-foot-4 forward, 2024, Campus HS:
Another guy who really played well down the stretch is Burton. After getting a great introduction to varsity ball last year, he has the summer to develop into a go-to player for Campus. He was strong at a late-summer gathering at the Grind Regional Finals. He was celebrated for his handles and ability to create space for his jumper. The summer of development will really pay off for this rising star.
Maurice Davis, 6-foot-1 forward, 2023, Shawnee Mission Northwest HS:
Davis was good enough to stand out earlier in the summer. But he continued to take it to another level at the MAYB Nationals in late summer, getting credit for his intelligence as much as his explosive game. Davis should turn this late-season development into some playing time at SMNW this fall.
Tory Homan, 6-foot-7 forward, 2024, Maize South:
Like Davis, Homan will be looking to take his high school game to the next level. He’s laying that foundation this summer with TBB KS. Coaches describe him as a man who’s game is catching up with his body. At the Grind Regional Finals, he was praised for his hustle and hard work, particularly on the boards. With that kind of effort, his game will soon match his impressive frame.
Will Mlynek Will Mlynek 6'9" | C Free State | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-9 center, 2023, Shawnee Mission South HS:
Mlynek has been a really impressive club player for a couple of summers now. He recently turned heads at the MAYB Nationals, where he demonstrated the ability to make plays in traffic, around the rim, on the move and from the perimeter. Mlynek is using the late summer to work on his game with the Kansas Hoggs, after running with Drive 5 earlier in the summer. The extra work will certainly pay off this fall.
