Prep Hoops is your source for basketball coverage all year long here in the Palmetto State and the Southeast.
Melvin Teal Jr Melvin Teal Jr 6'3" | PG Summerville | 2025 State #301 Nation SC (2025) – Summerville HS – North Charleston All-Stars (pictured on front)
Teal Jr gained varsity experience playing last season at Colleton Prep (Walterboro). Melvin averaged 20.1 ppg and 12.1 rebounds last season in 21 games for the SCISA Class 1A program. Teal Jr has been playing with TMP 16U this Grassroots season. Melvin has a great frame and body for his age and knows how to use it going to the cup.
Teal Jr. is best when attacking and slashing the basket. Melvin plays the game very mature for his young age.
Ziayre Williams Ziayre Williams 6'6" | PF Cane Bay | 2024 State SC (2025) – Cane Bay HS – Low Country Elite 2024
Williams is a VERY RAW talent for the Cobras. Williams 6’5 is very new to the game and will get better with playing time and experience down the road. Ziayre has good length and a willingness to learn playing down on the block with his back to the basket.
Amare Pryce (2026) – Columbia M.S. (Augusta, GA) – Aiken County Elite 7th
Pryce a crafty combo guard was able to get the ball into the gaps and paint today for his team. Amare connected on mid-range jumpers all day long.
Dontrell Jackson (2026) – Murphy M.S. (Augusta, GA) – Aiken County Elite 7th
Jackson was able to finish in the lane with a floater or on some loose change after picking up a rebound. Dontrell was quite effective finishing with his left-hand around the basket and always stayed active away from the ball. Pryce and Jackson gave Head Coach Chasen Redd a nice 1-2 combo for this Aiken County based team.
