Let’s look into my notes…
2022 Kolby King Kolby King 6'2" | PG Pembroke Pines | 2022 State FL committed to St. Johns University on August 2nd. The 6-foot-2 point guard also held offers from Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee, Appalachian State, Murray State, Florida Atlantic, Texas Tech, Florida International and Georgia Southern. Obviously, the draw to play in New York City would be high for any kid. King has broadened his game in the mid-range and can attack the basket. Moreover, he can knockdown shots from deep at a consistent level. He is part of a very talented team at Pembroke Pines Charter. Look for King and the Jaguars to have another great season.
Reggie Luis Reggie Luis 6'5" | CG Colombus | 2021 State FL Jr. earned an offer from Lamar University. The 6-foot-6 guard plays for the SOH Elite. Against the Atlanta Express (7/26), Luis had 28 points and 13 rebounds. He was one of the best players in Miami-Dade County last season. He is now listed as a 2022 after playing for Columbus High School as a senior. Luis will do a post-grad at Mt. Zion.
2022 Jose Amat Jose Amat 5'9" | CG Florida Christian | 2022 State FL has played great this summer. The 5-foot-9 point guard averaged about 15 points per game during live events in Dallas and Indianapolis. Amat was a lockdown defender and committed few turnovers. His instincts and athletic ability make him a great player on both sides of the floor. Amat is usually assigned to the opposing teams top perimeter player. On the flip side, he can really shoot from deep at a high volume. He plays for Florida Christian School.
2023 Kamari Houston is a player to continue to watch. The 6-foot-1 guard is super athletic and a tough finisher. His aggressive play will often have him end up on the free-throw line. Houston is capable of guarding the 1-3. A capable rebounder as well. Houston plays for Ball4Lyfe. Look for him in the fall at Martin County High School.
2025 Alex McFarlane is a future star for John Caroll Catholic. The 6-foot-2 point guard is a great passer and can shoot in the mid-range. McFarlane also has a nice 3-point shot. He is long and should only get bigger. Highly skilled at this stage.
